    A service call was set up with this business through my home warranty company. A couple hours after they were dispatched I contacted Gulf Coast directly to inquire as to when they would be out. Understanding that it was the hottest part of summer, we were prepared to wait a day or so for service. When I called, no one answered the phone. However, I left a message asking if they would confirm receiving the services order from my home warranty company and asked when we would expect someone. We waited all afternoon. I called again at the end of the day and no answer and I left a second message. After following up with the Home Warranty company (and allegedly the home warranty company contacting them as well) I tried again first thing the next morning. Still, no answer and no return call. At this point I had had enough. I contacted a company outside of my home warranty program and they were dispatched immediately and arrived at my home within 2 hours. The new company was prompt and very affordable. I followed up again with the Home Warranty company. They admitted to me that they had finally reached Gulf Coast Heating and AC and were informed by them that they refuse to do business with the Home Warranty company. After attempting to arrange two repairs with the Home Warranty company I don't disagree with Gulf Coast Heating and AC that doing business with this company is a good idea. However, we were counting on Gulf Coast to help us and we're reassured by the Home Warranty company that Gulf Coast was contracted to respond to the request. Certainly, if Gulf Coast has a beef with my home warranty company (2-10 Home Warranty) and it's their choice whether or not they do business with the Home Warranty company. However it's inexcusable that they did not respond to my phone calls inquiring as to if they had received the service order and when they were going to be at my home. I would highly recommend anybody considering doing business with this company to move on to the next company. There are plenty of good, responsive companies out there - especially if no one answers the phone and all they receive is voicemail.

    We’ve used them for the past 4+ years and loved them. Ranier is honest and reasonably priced. But I’ve been calling him for 5 days now. Leaving messages every time with no response. I even begged them to call and tell me if they can’t help me- but no response. It’s like they fell off the earth.

    I'm not sure any work that was done was actually done and unfortunately there is a lack of communication when leaving messages for GCHA when it comes to getting back to me. Furthermore I am disappointed to find their was no spare filter in the attic as Ranir stated to myself and my wife. I tried using a mom & pop company when it came to a/c work however after this experience I may need to find a nationally recognized company to complete my future needs. Just saying...
