Was connected through my home warranty company. I was told that someone from Godfather would call and set up a time to come out to my house. After waiting 4 days for a call I took it upon myself to reach out. When someone finally decided to answer the phone a time was set up. I waited all day just to be tod that it was an issue with the condenser coil and that they would have to report to my warranty company. We waited a week before any information was passed. They did nothing and here we are still with no AC. This company is horrible.

We have a home warranty through AHS and this company was assigned. Godfather is incompetent to say the least and does not care about their customers, including the owner. In 2 weeks they have had to come out 4 times. First they said the drain pipe from the overflow pan was clogged and they cleared it. It wasn't even the right pipe! I called and they came back out and said they figured out it drains through the hall bath sink and the trap was clogged so they changed the trap pipe. Let me mention that the sink has never even slow drained or been clogged! Afterwards we STILL had the issue with AC cutting off. I called them on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with no response to messages. I finally reached them Monday morning when I had to call again. My son and his family were in town from Minnesota because we had his grandmother in hospice. The AC company finally came out again and said it was something else (almost a full week after the last visit and 5 days after I started leaving messages.) The problem continued so I finally crawled back up in the attic, took pictures and video and sent them to the owner. He had them come back and disassemble the unit in the attic and determined it was the coil and pan; however, the paperwork only said coil with no complete diagnosis. When they reassembled the unit, cold air was blowing out all around it in the attic, which was not occurring before. The owner's excuse was that it was an old unit and we probably shouldn't run it. It's 93 degrees outsidel! All last week I was stuck at home with the AC problem, waiting for them, unable to visit our family member in hospice, and she passed away without my ever getting to see her. I'm on disability after 6 failed back surgeries (my 69 year old husband can't climb because of a hip replacement) and I have had to climb up into the attic to wet vac the overflow pan once or twice daily, pour the water in a bucket, and hand it down to my husband so the AC doesn't turn off if the pan is full. After talking to the warranty company this morning, the reason for this last week's delay and claim denial is that Godfather failed to submit a complete diagnosis even after 2 requests from AHS for the information. As of today we are being assigned a new AC company to come out. WE WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!

This service was requested through my home warranty company. I had a technician come out because my A/C was blowing hot air. He opened the unit and found the filter was extremely dirty and the unit was frozen up. He told me there was a leak in the coils and that the whole unit had to be replaced. He told me that I would be charged $550 and the home warranty company would cover the rest. I was suspicious about the whole unit needing to be replaced, because it had just passed a home inspection 2 weeks prior. So I called a A/C company I trusted and was told that I needed a new filter and to let the unit thaw out and it will work fine. They said that my unit was in perfect working condition and did not need to be replaced. My A/C has had no problems since I changed the filter over a month ago. Godfather heating and air is scamming people through home warranty companies. I would recommend to stay very far away from this company.
