A multitude of compounding mistakes and issues. Issue #1. Had a humidifier installed that was not properly hooked up or not to water. Ten years later during a routine furnace maintenance call, I asked their technician (good guy) to check the humidifier suspecting not working. He said the humidifier was never hooked up; parts no longer available; but he returned for a second trip with some improvised parts and hooked up the humidifier. Very appreciative of his efforts. Issue #2. Fugh wanted to charge us full service charge for correcting their mistake. After a phone call to HQ, the technician reduced the second truck charge only. Not near enough to compensate for extra heating bills and discomfort over ten years. We paid the invoice by charge card "in full" as we always have done with years of installations and service. Issue #3. We start getting calls that we did not pay in full. Thinking the mix up was perhaps the discounted truck charge, we kept giving our explanation and that we did pay what was invoiced in full, as we always do. Twice we thought the issue had been resolved and no one called back to say otherwise for months. Then another call a few days ago. After several of these attempts to resolve this issue with their billing/accounting person(s), we talked to a manager. Issue #4. Turns out, seven months later and after several calls with accounting, this manager who after a long hold says the technician who came to the house “made a mistake” and only charged us for his second visit and not the original diagnostic visit. We have only a receipt for what the tech charged us. Issue #5. Through this whole time of indignant and accusatory phone calls, no one in their billing/accounting office was able to properly ascertain and articulate their issue with us. Issue #6, the Fugh office person told us it was our fault for not recognizing that the humidifier was not working, as if I’m a human hygrometer or know how well their unit should perform in our big house. Issue #7, the Fugh office person said they had sent us statements via email to my wife’s email account after I told them to use another email account. This is noted on one of their other statements for filters, the invoices for which have been correctly coming to the other email account. Issue #8 (perhaps), I checked my wife’s email inbox, deleted and junk mail folders and could not find messages from Fugh. Not sure what is going on there. We have now paid for the original diagnostic visit, though we still have no invoice or receipt. Obviously, this experience was no way to treat a now former loyal Fugh customer.

WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER, they came in to fix our air conditioner but they did NOTHING, the technician was just walking back and forth and he had no clue what he was doing, and he even mentioned that he don’t know how to do this, then the guy called back to the office and ask for help and the lady in the phone wasn’t much helpful then she said don’t charge us, 2 weeks later I got a bill saying we have to pay for it but he didn’t get anything done so I end up calling someone else to get the job done. It has nothing to do with my husbands phone being there or not. It’s some problem with the AC machine is self. I called Different company the technician came and replace one part from the AC machine. And He didn’t even touch thermostat It has nothing do to with the thermostat he said is fine.
Response from the owner
He could not repair on site because your husband, who was not home, had the Nest App on his phone. You were unable to provide the log-in details. Without access the Nest App, we could not repair on-site, but our technician informed you how to fix it. We also said that the bill would not be prepared at the time of service, but we would send it later. You never called back, so we assumed you fixed the issue with the information provided.

Based on my experience, they can't really be trusted. Paid them in full the amount the technician said I owed that day, which was crazy expensive, the only day they did work, ever. Just got a shady call from them trying to say we owed a balance. For what?? Also was told that same day something else needed fixed and they'd have to come back to fix it and it will be expensive. They called to try to get us on schedule then. Another company afterward said nothing was wrong! Good thing we trusted our instinct. Be careful.
