  I date from the time when the owner was doing much of the work and have found that he was efficient and competent. Apparently, he has hired and trained people who have similar qualities. They came with enough expensive parts and tools in their trucks to repair whatever was wrong with my system. Yes, there is a high hourly rate but I appreciate all that Fox was able to do for me. At 4 PM, one day last week, I discovered water from our hydronic heating system raining down onto our fuel oil tank in the garage/basement . I was able to shut off the water and at my request, Fox sent out a technician who was able to help me be sure that the system would be safe for the night. The technician and I decided that I would rather have the system repaired the next day at $100 + per hour rather than tackle the job right then, on overtime, at twice that rate. The next day Fox sent several technicians who diagnosed and repaired the frozen, ruptured pipe very quickly.

  Very poor customer service. Sends out young inexperienced people (the past 6 years or so) who have attempted to steal from my home and became upset when we would not allow them commit environmental damage in our yard. Owner suddenly stopped servicing equipment they sold to us- as soon as the equipment became malfunctioning and without any notice from them. Also a question about preferential treatment based on superficial traits. Would not recommend them anymore.

  I called Fox Heating when my furnace started having issues. They came out and inspected/repaired the unit, getting it back online for a few weeks. It tripped again after that, and I called them hoping they would guarantee their work. They told me that they could only guarantee it if the problem was related to the work they had already done. So they sent out a technician again to fix it a second time, and of course he said it was unrelated to what they had done the first time. This time the furnace only worked for a few days before tripping offline again. I called Fox and they said they would not guarantee their work, despite not having fixed the issue after visiting twice and charging me hundreds of dollars each time. When I insisted, they told me to find a different company to fix the furnace. Edit: I called another company and they were able to diagnose the problem and fix it within about 30 minutes. Edit #2: The furnace tripped again over the weekend. It's only fair that I increase my star rating from 1/5 to 3/5 and say it might not be entirely Fox's fault. We inherited the furnace from the previous property owner and it's probably almost time to replace the entire unit.

  Andrew is not exactly being honest. The boiler they have has not been maintained very well so the only work we have done there is normal preventive maintenance that should be done annually. Unfortunately they have an intermittent problem that has not occurred while we were there so it is very difficult to find the cause. We always start the process, if the unit has not had any maintenance by doing that, now that is complete we can eliminate that as being the cause. When Andrew called today we told them if there was a problem with the work we already did there would be no charge, since we warranty our work. He told us that no matter what we found he would not pay us. Since Andrew had such a bad attitude we recommended that he would be better off calling someone else. They also do not maintain their property very well putting our techs at risk.
