AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This company was contracted by Lowe's to install a water heater. The technician accidentally broke the incoming PVC pipe which then flooded by garage. Water got everywhere and it made a huge mess. I contacted the company and they were unable to resolve that day. As a result, I had to take the afternoon off to clean up the mess. This required the destruction of a workbench because the new heater placement prevented me from being able to pull it out. I had to literally cut it in half. This was required because there was a half inch of water sitting under it and against my wall. There is NO way this should sit. Further, water splatter everywhere, mixed in with sheet rock dust and made a mess on my rubber gym flooring that had to be scrubbed. This required many hours on my part and was a complete inconvenience . They took no responsibility except for sending a tech out the next day with some industrial fans. They didn't help clean; they didn't fix the hole in the wall they left. And they expect full payment! Lowe's now is offering a $100 discount, but that's not even enough to pay for the workbench I had to tear out, let alone the day and a half I had to take off to deal with this.

Home Depot uses Florida Home for installs in my area. The technicians have always been professional and helpful. I purchased a new install in April 2020 and within a couple of months, the ac had a failure. (mid summer). I was given a 24 hour response guarantee. After 48 hours of no show, no call, I contacted them again. It was another day before someone came out. Repair was done under warranty with no cost. Less than a year later, another catastrophic failure, blower motor needs replaced. I was first quoted $1,795 for the repair. After some phone calls, got it down to just under $900. The motor is covered under warranty but labor is about $300 an hour if extrapolated out? Their services have suffered as of late according to their recent google reviews and BBB reviews. Please bring your standards back up. Contacting Home Depot corporate next so they may review Florida Home recent reviews before continuing their association. I cannot recommend Florida Home at this time.

In November my old unit was not functioning properly. When Florida Home came out to look at it, I was told the control board and sensors in the old system needed replacement. I was told it would be thousands of dollars to replace and I should consider a new system. I was told I would get a certain brand, but the next day was told it was not available and would get another brand. Not a huge deal. It took 3 days with different crews to get the new system installed. I was supposed to get a Nest thermostat installed with my new HVAC. After 3 attempts, a technician put a traditional thermostat in and the system worked. Their trucks have "Nest Experts" on the side. The city inspector came out to close out the permit for installation. He noted the wrong sized circuit breaker was installed. Another crew had to come out and install the correct circuit breaker. Now, the ceiling in one of my bedrooms is full of water and at risk of collapse because the unit was installed on its side instead of vertically. The drip pan does not catch any of the coil condensation. It's over 48 hours since I called about this situation and it's still not resolved. Florida Home is slow to respond to calls, and some of the crews clearly don't understand how to properly install HVAC units. The only good thing I can say to this point is there's a 10 year warranty and I have not put out a penny for any of the mistakes. Just frustration, lost time, and waiting for phone calls. Edit: After a day, Florida Home responds to my Google review. Jessica (QA Manager) doesn't answer the phone nor has a voicemail setup to leave a message. I'm a customer of less than 30 days with multiple calls into get answers (including today). Florida Home knows my number, they can call me directly. Edit 2: Tried calling Jessica a 2nd time on a Monday. No answer, no voicemail. The response is ridiculous. Edit 3: Drywall crew can't come fix my place because the person at Florida Home who gives them clearance to start is on vacation. Customers aren't a priority.
