Steve Finegan needs to find some people skills. He is very rude and condescending to customers and treated his helper like she was his personal slave. Poor woman must have been desperate for work to have to put up with him. The man has no people skills whatsoever. I've always had my annual services done by Finegans, but it was the son who always did a great job. Rumor has it that the son will not work for his father and Steve has problems hiring anyone to work with him. I had a new AC system installed, and unfortunately received a factory defective unit that required half dozen return visits. I know it was not his fault for the defective equipment, but then I had to listen to how much money it was costing him because he had to keep replacing the Freon. Once a replacement was obtained and unit completed, Mr. Finegan then decided to check my breaker box and determine that I HAD TO CALL an electrician because I only had a 30 amp breaker and unit specifications called for a 35 amp breaker. He said that if I didn't get this changed the Inspector would not sign off on the Permit "and that would reflect badly on him and his company". I told him I would expect anyone who knew what they were doing would have checked the breakers first. He said he would take care of replacing the breaker, but guess what. . . I have not seen him since, Needless to say, I hope I never have to have him come to my home again, and I would never recommend him doing any work. He has past his prime!!!

Horrible Horrible Horrible. These people have no people skills whatsoever. After I had them scheduled to go out to our property to basically give us an "estimate" which according to their website is free. They charged us $200 dollars to put some refrigeration in the unit and to let us know there was a leak. We then asked for an invoice before payment was made just to have a a glimpse of what was done and all of a sudden the secretary went of, that they only provided an invoice after payment which made no sense, I am pretty sure somebody would like to know what they are paying for before they pay for it. She basically just started screaming to us about payment which we refused to do till we received an invoice. Which we did, so either someone was lazy or something iffy was going on. Regardless, never using them again.

I have used Finegan's for over 12 yrs, I have always found Mr. Finegan to be professional, courteous and above all works hard at solving all my problems. I have not had many problems with my AC unit in those 12yrs but when I do be it 7:30am or 7:30pm he quickly gets to it. He has shown me nothing but respect as a customer, has been extremity fair with his pricing and plus he has a great sense of humor. He just got done fixing a problem for me which took many hours. He and Lou Ann never stopped until they had it done all the while answering my numerous questions (I'm a nosy sort wanting to know what is that, where does this part go, etc.). He kept up his work, never taking a break, still making jokes. So all you haters out there toward Mr. Finegan, maybe you are the rude ones who he has to put up with when all he deserves is your respect for his skill in fixing your broken machines.
