  Very helpful! Please consider donating food and supplies and money. They are great, but need all the help they can get with so many sweet animals! And be nice... You never know the kind of day the workers may be having there. ❣️

  I read the story in The Gadsden Times this morning about how this shelter is over capacity and they are looking for homes, fosters, donations, etc. but how can you find these poor animals a home when you are CLOSED for the WEEKEND at NOON on FRIDAY. CLOSED ALL WEEKEND. The weekend is when the public (who usually work for a living), may be able to get out for a few hours to drive all the way out to the shelter in Piedmont to look at the animals. Then again, ONLY OPEN FROM 12-4 MON-WED. and AGAIN THURS FROM 8' TO NOON. 4 hours a day. But what's REALLY sad, is this is not some specialty boutique, this is an ANIMAL SHELTER where these poor animals need care and attention FULL TIME. Its not about when it convenient for YOU it is when it is convenient for the ANIMALS AND THE PUBLIC if you really cared enough to find them homes. How about hire some people OR recruit some volunteers who can and WANT to work a full day to truly help these poor animals find their homes??? So, no wonder this shelter is at capacity!!! Probably full of nasty mess too. Cleaning up after and caring for animals is a full time job and with hours like that I don't understand how anything will ever get done.
