  Not a reputable company!!!! When they installed my new air condition, the idiot they sent to fix it after only 2days, stole over $20,000 worth of jewelry from me. The police were able to recover a lot of the jewelry from a pawn shop in Gastonia. However, the most expensive rings were not found. My attorney tried contacting them and they never answered his "certified" letters. Took them to court and they never showed up. The judge ruled in my favor. Still trying to collect. Steve Absher and company are not to be trusted. I will never give up! Steve, you can run and you can hide, but I will never give up!

  This company is one of the worst I have had to do business with. I'll explain the reason for the rating in detail: First, Steven Absher, was cordial and was willing to work with my on replacing my old unit. He made a good first impression and we even found out that our children go to the same Christian school. I got three quotes and decided to go with this company. Big mistake. I was sold a 4 ton 13 seer Trane unit with a variable speed air handler along with a few duct work modifications for the new unit. The unit that was installed was a 3 ton 13 Seer train unit and it wasn't big enough to heat my home. After trying to get the system to heat my house I called Steven back to get him to check it. He said he would come out and see what was going on. He didn't. I had to call someone else out and they found a laundry list of things wrong with the Unit installation and said that they would call him back to have him correct his mistakes. They asked me it the County inspector had been out to do the final inspection and I said no. The person told me to call the county to find out if the permit had actually been pulled and so I called and no permit had every been filed. Called Steven to give him a chance to fix this problem and he agreed to bump me up to the 15 seer unit as long as I would pay the cost difference of 380, and said Trane had given him the wrong unit. They came out to install the new one for the second time and it didn't work correctly. Steven doesn't do his own work he subs it out. The contractor who put the new unit in didn't put the correct air handler that Steven informed me we would need. Instead they left the wrong Freon lines, wrong air handler (actually cut the serial number off the air handler so I couldn't cross reference it) and now the unit isn't work well. Called him on Friday night and he said he would be on Saturday morning to fix. He never came. Called four times Saturday afternoon and he finally called back said he would be out Sunday after church. Sunday he didn't come or call. Called him twice Sunday afternoon and no answer. Finally, got a hold of him Monday morning and he agreed to come get his equipment and refund my money. He told me at 9:30 he was removing the system and would have me a cashier's check from Fidelity bank. Got home at 12 and no one was here, system was here and had not been touched. Called Steven and can't get a return call. Worst experience ever. I have called Trane support, I have called NC contractor license bureau and I will be filing a law suit for my money to be reimbursed. I will update Google review with the resolution when I get one. UPDATE: after many attempts I received my money back from Steven Absher thanks to Brian Sciba in the Gaston county permit department. Please don't use this company until he has changed his behaviors and employees.

  I was a vendor for Energy Management. I have been unable to collect money owed to us after repeatedly calling Steve. He took the product he needed for a job., then ignored repeated request to pay our invoice.
