  Today must not have been their day. My sweet wonderful independent elderly grandmother bought herself a sink over a year ago and finally came up with enough work that needed done around her house -- she takes very good care of almost all by herself -- to request the assistance of an experienced professional plumber. She calls local businesses and supports the little man in every way she can. I overheard her on the phone with this outfit a few times. The handyman seemed impatient and very disinterested in the details of her requests. The day before the appointment, she cleaned out from under the sink, the toilet, the water pump, and water tank just to make the visitors feel welcome and hopefully make their jobs more easy. That morning, she was up double checking everything around the house and preparing for their arrival. At ten am, she decided to call you see about the time to expect them. The voicemail she left was clear and concise. She was expecting a crew and no one has arrived yet. She wanted to know if they were coming. The man who returned her call decided to argue with her about what he told her on the phone and that he told her they were coming around eleven. He was brash and rather short with my very sharp Gramma. I was irritated simply by that. I was excited to be here because I feel like there are people that take advantage of the elderly and I was here to witness and protect her too my best ability. Well, the crew showed up right around eleven as we were told. They got right to work. In a rush. Didn't ask many questions and didn't do a very neat job. They popped her old sink out so fast it cracked her vintage countertop, they sealed the sink with tacky caulk that overlapped into her countertop far more than necessary, the faucet was dripping and she about it and they offered zero professional help. They didn't check for leaks or for satisfaction before packing up and delivering a bill. She checked the sink immediately and it didn't have very good water pressure and the faucets were quickly and the dream was leaking inside the cabinet. They didn't even check these simple things upon completion of the sink installation. Plus, they disregarded her other requests because of parts etc. They basically denied those jobs because I'm sure they were too tedious and not worth much for the upsell. Now she has to pay another plumber to come check on the work they did and to finish the things she needed done to validate the call for her budget in the first place. Just rude and very quick. I understand most of us are just trying to get by but some of us are trying to thrive. There's a big difference when the mentality in people affect their performance. It just sucks that they didn't give her the attention she paid for nor did they perform for customer satisfaction. It was just a quick fast annoying job to them.
