I called on ECS Comfort for routine maintenance of my AC unit this summer and didn't hesitate to schedule for winter heating maintenance. Now on the Comfort plan and will have them out for regular service. Great business!

Glad they fixed our heating issue, but very expensive and deceptive. When I called them, they explained they'd tell us the cost after diagnosing the issue, but they did not. Instead they fixed the issue in half hour and said it was $200 for that plus the $99 dispatch fee. At least they told me about the dispatch fee when I called, but the equivalent $400/hour repair rate is too much. Needless to say we won't be using them again.

Andrew, thank you for sharing your experience. We have looked into how our technician handled this call, and you are right. He did not disclose the price up front and get your permission before doing the work even thought this is how we expect them to operate. We have addressed the issue with him. With regard to the price and time, we do charge by the job and not the hour. We have established standardized prices based on how much time we allow them to complete the job. In your case, our technician's experience allowed him to find and resolve the problem more quickly than the time allowed. Regardless of how long it actually took to fix the problem, your price would not have been different.

We called ECS Comfort after our central air conditioning system had some trouble keeping our space cool. We moved in to our building about 18 months ago, and we never had a maintenance done. We thought maybe it needed a cleaning. Turns out that was the problem. Whoever had touched our system in the past appears to have never done a thorough cleaning. Matt took his time and fixed us up. We are so happy we called ECS instead of another company who may have just done a cursory review of the unit for cheap but never actually cleaned it.
