  I have called 3 days in a row to find out why my brand new on demand generator you hooked up is logging run hours and no body called me back. I now have over 400 hrs on my brand new generator.I sure wish somebody would respond.

  Hello Shaggy Dog. Our generator technician reached out to you and explained the hours you see on the screen are "hours of protection". It's simply the Generac Generators way of saying "this generator has provided you with XXXX hours of protection against a power outage". This has nothing to do with your engine hours. We explained to you how to navigate the menu to read the actual "run hours" on the generator engine. Thanks and I hope you enjoy your new stand-by generator.
