DO NOT TRUST – LIAR Worked with Dave Foral/Diversity since 2013, several projects, almost $2,000 spent with him over that time, always paid him immediately via cash or check, built a tremendous trust and friendly rapport. Then he totally screwed me on some repairs and proved himself a liar, a cheat, and a complete jerk. Avoid his business at all costs. My experience below. If it’s too long, just take my word – Dave Foral is a scam. When our garage door opener broke, we asked Dave if he knew those, too. He said he could look at it, then proceeded to make 2 trips over 2 days. He replaced both cables on the garage door, a gear within the motor of the opener, lubricated the entire system and left an invoice for $274.48, which is almost double the garage door pros’ quotes. I paid him promptly. The opener broke again in 6 days. Dave and I discussed via text since he was out of town. He would not come back to look at it again, referred me to a guy he knows who does openers (and who would charge me in full all over again). Dave reluctantly offered to reimburse me. I countered that he only pay me back for his labor and one trip charge, he keeps materials cost and one trip charge. My $274.48 check to him cleared the day after this conversation. Bought an opener and paid another company to install. After a week, no response from Dave, no refund. Asked him again, nothing. Then, the cables attached to the garage door (separate from the opener) came loose. This means that every single thing Dave invoiced me for repairing had broken again within two weeks. Had to spend more money getting these fixed by a competent technician. Had to take my complaint to the Better Business Bureau, citing the 30-day warranty on labor that is clearly printed on Dave’s company invoice. So, Dave thinks it’s fair to invoice me on his HVAC company stationery for garage door opener repair, take almost $300 of my money, and leave me with a machine that works for a week. He is dishonest and has no respect for the long-time customer he left high and dry – who had to pay double for the same project.
