  The technician was very friendly and competent. The repairs were handled in a very professional manner. He arrived on time for my scheduled appointment. My concerns were all addressed. I would highly recommend Dick’s Heating & Air Conditioning.

  Service was good and service person friendly and efficient. However, price was more than they quoted me when I called to schedule and they added a 'travel and van fee'. Really? Is this not a cost of doing business? They are already charging $105 an hour for service. Then when I called to pay, informed me they would charge a 3% fee for paying with a card. It's 2021 and everyone pays with a card. Was informed I could bring cash to their office or send a check like its 1999. Ridiculous! I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future, and recommend you do the same.

  Kendra, I am glad that you were happy with the service provided, I am sorry that you were not happy with bill. When customers call to schedule, we are up front about our fees, $105/hour with a one hour minimum and a travel/van fee. The only part of your invoice that wasn't given to you before was the 2 pounds of freon that were added to your system, because we have no way of knowing ahead of time exactly what parts will be needed. On the invoice mailed to you it states on the bottom that there is a 3% fee to pay with a card, I am surprised that we are the first time that you have encountered this fee, as it seems to be pretty common practice at the majority of businesses! It is the credit card companies that charged the fee, not us, I agree - they shouldn't charge for the service when it is so widely used. I would like to circle back to the beginning of your review where you state you were pleased with the service provided and the technician, and I would like to ask if based on that - is it really fair to be given a one star?

  If they gave hero awards for ac service, Dick’s would win hands down! My ac went out the middle of June, after being repaired by another company in town, who assured me it was in perfect working order. This other company had to have my fan motor rebuilt, which took over a week, because it was too old and not made any more, so would not have a warranty. The day after they installed this wonderful rebuilt motor, my system began arcing, sparking and shut down. I called Dick’s - the tech came on the hottest day of our record heat - bless his heart he found my rebuilt motor was wound backwards! - had one IN HIS VAN - replaced it, got my system going - I was so worried he would have heat stroke! I gave him Gatorade, a cooling towel - he was patient, kind, never lost his professional attitude or temper - he was a rockstar! The first company charged me over $900 - Dick’s? $300! Guess who my new HVAC people are! From the initial call to when I paid my bill they were so kind, so caring, so easy to work with. Please choose Dick’s Heating & Air Conditioning!
