In 2018, I purchased a mini-split from DG Service Company. Satisfied with the product and the installation, I recently purchased a second system from them. The installers were knowledgeable, efficient, and neat. I was impressed with their attention to detail. I highly recommend DG Service Company.

On 20 October 2020, a technician from DG Services Company (Mattapoisett, MA) worked on our home heating system. The work was completed and we received an invoice for $199.00. We promptly paid the invoice in full. Our payment was in the form of a personal check. The check was processed by DG Services Company in a timely manner. At this point, we assumed that the business transaction had concluded. NEARLY ONE YEAR LATER we received another invoice for the cost of $232.67. Neither the services nor invoice number of this extremely tardy invoice matched the number of the first invoice. We retrieved our copy of the original invoice and processed check which paid the services. Copies of these documents were sent to DG Services Company with an explanation of the events that occurred and requested clarification about this second, very late invoice. At this point, we assumed that the “mistake” would be settled. However, on 10 October 2021 we received a response letter from DG Services Company stating the second invoice was for other work that had been done on 20 October 2020 (a year ago!) and the payment of the second, year-late invoice was expected. If the services described on this second, very tardy invoice were indeed delivered on 20 October 2020, why were they not included on the original invoice? If DG Services Company has a policy regarding service invoicing sorting, why were was the second invoice delivered nearly 365 days after the services were rendered and not along with the original invoice? There are a couple of ways that these events could be explained. I will refrain from describing them here. I think that you can come to your own conclusions. Buyer beware.

My apologies for the confusion and thank you for the prompt payment and response. You are correct that 2 invoices were sent, the first was for a scheduled maintenance appointment that is billed out at a flat rate of $199. During that appointment a repair was authorized that triggered a different invoice. According to the office manager, two invoices were mailed. It's evident that you only received one. Further correspondence was sent out regarding the second and the resolution came about 1year later on the repair invoice. We have since updated our billing system to include email delivery with tracking confirmation. Again, thank you for the response and prompt payment.
