We used DSM Heating and Cooling to service our furnace and AC for 13 years. When it was time to replace our 22-yr-old system, we were a little concerned about using a smaller company for the big job of installing a whole new system including the water heater. I called the company and got a real person. Told him my heat was out and was wondering how long the wait would be. He responded I can come right now, showed up and diagnosed my problem, found the part I needed to fix the furnace and quoted price. We agreed and he ran and got the part and installed it made sure all worked properly and cleaned up the mess from working on my furnace.. Very nice and friendly to deal with. Would recommend Des Moines Heating and Cooling to anyone that needs work done.

A complete lifesaver! When your furnace goes out in the middle of the night and you wake to a super cold house, these guys are lifesavers! Our technician was prompt, informative and understanding.  A couple of hours and we were toasty warm!

We called because our furnace broke and they were at our house within 15 minutes. Unfortunately we needed to replace our unit, but they were able to install the new furnace the very next day. They installed, cleaned up, and were out of our house in approximately 2 hours. We were very pleased with the courteous, timely response.

I called at 8:30am asking for someone to help with my AC that went out. Right away they said they would send somebody right out (I was thrilled I wouldn’t have to sleep another summer night without AC). The technician arrived within two hours of my call - left it up to us on if we wanted repairs or a replacement of our very old unit. We decided to replace the AC, furnace, and water heater (which needed rerouted) because all units were about the same age. The technicians were able to install all 3 units the same day and within a few hours! Truly one of the best experiences we’ve had! They had me in awe of how quick, professional, and kind they were.

Sergio was helpful and enthusiastic. He seemed as happy for me as I was when my AC didn't need a huge repair (or huge bill!). It was a heatwave when my AC went out and I called several companies before choosing who to book. Des Moines heating and cooling was available the soonest and reasonably priced. I received quotes from four different HVAC contractors in the Des Moines Metro to replace two different air conditioner/furnaces systems at our commercial business.  Craig is very personable to deal with and made things super easy for us!  He beat out the other three contractors by around 1/3 of the cost! Also he said the distributor in town only had units with variable air instead of one stage, but he gave us those for the same quoted original price and ate the extra costs!!!!   The quality and craftsmanship of the work was outstanding,  and they were on time!  I can't wait until we do business the next time around Craig on some of our other older units!
