I have used this company as my heating and cooling for over 30 years. Wednesday we called to have them do a service check and it was reported we needed a new fan. I called Thursday and left a message as no one had answered or returned my call about this part. Friday I called again and was told it was $692 and it had already been ordered without my consent. I did not want this part nor did I consent to this payment amount. Saturday I called to discuss canceling this order as I was not willing to pay that and again had to leave a message. I got called back by the service representative saying I was in charge for this cost despite my lack of consent to order it. When I messaged the owner about this, I got messaged back with insults and rude comments and told I would be paying for this. If he had responded with kindness and professionalism, I might have been willing to work with him. However, after being treated with zero professionalism or decency, I’ll be finding someone else to work with. Incredibly rude and inconsiderate.

Sad to hear you putting out false statements like this. You were kept informed the entire time by our secretary as well as the service technician that was taking care of you. You were told the exact price it would cost as well as the time frame that it was going to take to get the part. You got upset when we called you out on your lies and that is when you got nasty with us. Like I explained to you before, we do not need customers that blatantly lie like this. And you have confirmed our decision to fire you as a customer with this completely fabricated review here. You should really be ashamed of yourself after all that we have done for you over the years.

Dealing with Schnaare has been difficult, expensive and frustrating. A horrible experience. In July 2020 they installed an oversized, low-level Lennox heating and A/C system that never worked properly. Very noisy, and shut down without warning but repeatedly in very cold weather. After numerous requests for correction they blamed me selecting the oversized system, which I very decidedly did not. I relied on their expertise, but now believe they recommended the oversized unit to maximize their profit. Cost was $7700. After repeated complaints and ineffective repairs they stopped returning my calls. Completely frustrated, I contacted Lee Mechanical, a competing Lennox dealer. In June 2021 I contracted with Lee to install a complete top-of-the line Lennox system including the premium thermostat Schnaare never mentioned and did not supply. It cost me (another) $9200, a large expense I could ill-afford, but well worth it to be done with Schnaare.. Lee's installation and follow-up has been superb. The system is so quiet I hardly know it is working. Furnace and A/C efficiency numbers are far better than the low-line equipment Schnaare supplied. Based on this experience my recommendation is to stay as far away as possible from Schnaare.

Wow Don, you of all people have really saddened us with your post here & the way you went about the hole situation. We installed a properly sized system (same as we installed for you 17 years prior) that you selected & agreed to purchase after doing your own “research” on the Lennox equipment that you were quoted. We bent over backwards to try & eliminate the noises you were “hearing” from the variable speed blower motor on your new furnace. After numerous trips to your residence to listen for the “noise”, adjustments to blower speeds and adding duct work to help with static pressure for free (even though we did not install the original duct work that was undersized for your system), you went off on your own and replaced the system through another company without even discussing swapping the furnace out. We offered you to pay the cost difference to go up to a signature series furnace & we would install it for free but you refused! There is only one person to blame & that is you and how you handled this whole situation. We bent over backwards to try and appease you over what was really a non issue and your system was operating properly. You spent $9200 with another company when it would have cost only $1000 to get the upgraded furnace through our company. Shame on Lee Mechanical for taking advantage of an elderly individual who is obviously not thinking properly in this situation. They stole your money Mr. Kueny!
