Christopher with Choice Air was referred to me by a friend and I'm so thankful for the referral! They first came out in the summer of 2020 when my A/C went out and were able to quickly fix the issue same day! I had to call again today (12.8.202) with heater issues and again they came out same day and quickly fixed the issue! Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and efficient!! I would highly recommend Choice Air to friends, family and neighbors!

I WAS happy with this company until I was made aware of a glaring oversight on their part. My air conditioner broke down this past summer. Chris came out and repaired it and did the annual tune up and all was fine. A short time later it went off again. Chris came back and said an animal chewed a wire outside and he fixed it and did not charge me. I appreciated that. I don’t know how the animal got to the wire, and it was dark outside by the time he got here. He assured me all was tied up and it would not happen again. Then just a few months ago I was startled by a rat in my garage and called pest control. He came and went into the attic. He asked me who I use for the air conditioning and took a video. The pan was not “leaning” properly so it was not draining and full of rust and water…he said these guys are not doing right by you…hard to miss something this obvious in so short a time…the pan can rust out and cause damage to the house! I debated about calling someone else and paying them to fix someone else’s oversight and I would not want anyone else to have the same problem. He also showed me a large hole (covered by a metal shield) big enough for the rat to get in and told me I had to seal it up.

Jeanne i am sorry to hear about the pest issue. I wish you had called about the water in your drain pan. I can assure you that there wasn't water in the drain pan while we were last time.We took pics inside and out as we do every time we come out for a diagnostic, repair, maintenance or Estimate . and we always have done right by you at least I thought you were happy with us so I am surprised we haven't received a call from you yet. I can say that the water he saw will occasionally accumulate in the drain pan when there is a clogged sink where the systems drain into. or if the air filter is too clogged or if you are low on refrigerant. Last time we were there it looks like we located a low voltage short which proved to be difficult to find however we did repair it and did so for free. It was also noted on the wiring that had a short on it looked weathered or possibly like varmints had chewed it up. The short in the wiring that we had to fix was located outside. We ran new voltage so that it was located in a spot that would shield it from the exterior elements and be hidden from animals too. So it would be difficult for an animal to get to it and chew it up again but not impossible. I don't think I am understanding wether the system was working or not. because you didn't mention if it was or not and it doesn't show that you called us with a no ac or no heating problem. We are not exterminators nor did we knock out any areas in the wall to access anything as the repair ended up being outside in-between the house and the unit. Nor did we put any "Metal Shields" up to cover any holes as we didn't see any and it is not our job title or anything we are licensed to do. I do not believe that exterminator was a licensed HVAC contractor or technician though or he would have understood and diagnosed the water issue properly without mentioning out slandering our company. I would love to know the name of the company so I can check their credentials and speak to the owner about allowing his guys to go around talking badly about an HVAC company if they're not even sure what they are looking at. Also if they repaired it for you while they were there and didn't clear the drain line out then "they are not doing right by you" and I wonder if they have a license to go around diagnosing issues or repairing them? its about a $10,000 to $15000 fine from the state if they are repairing or diagnosing hvac systems illegally without a license. I apologize if he miss lead you in any way in order to get more money out of you or to recommend one of his HVAC guys and had you thinking that we repaired some hole in your house wall because that was never the situation nor are we allowed to cause we are a licensed HVAC company not a licensed pest control company. I am glad you got it repaired. I would love to come out to check on the system for free so we know if there were any other mistakes in diagnosing or repairing the issue as we considered you a great customer and didn't realize pest control companies were in the business of slandering HVAC companies. I hope you receive this response and understand that we are only disappointed that they made you so upset and would love the chance to mend the bridge and have a licensed hvac tech take a look at the system and make sure it was done correctly, also because they voided any warranty behind any repair or replacement when they touched your system simply by putting their hand earlier . Thank you for your input and I apologize about everything they said but we can't prevent anyone from coming in and slandering our company when they see something they don't understand or know how to diagnose and repair. Please call if there is anything we can do for you

The quality of work on our A/C and heater that had issues was excellent as far as I can tell. Main complaint is they have been late on every estimated time slot, often not calling or texting until after the time slot and frequently rolling to the next day. Story is always the same, earlier job took longer. Don't know if they're taking in more work than they should or just really bad at estimating.
