We used this company in 2018 after moving into a new home the 1st floor furnace/a/c unit stopped working. We we’re pleased with new 1 st floor heating/a/c unit ($8,000 approximately) no issues great job. We then had them replace 2nd story unit over a year later ($5,000 approximately) with new heat pump in the fall as unit was old and it had stopped working. We had trouble from day one with thermostat not being installed correctly, guys taking longer than necessary to complete the job, and then sending another guy out that night and again on Sunday. It took our whole weekend and owner Joe was made aware. It finally worked and ran all winter, but come summer with heat wave no a/c. They sent out the trouble shooter same technician as before to assess. He made two visits since unit was shutting itself down and joy running. First visit free then after still not working and he charged us a couple hundred and still was told “nothing was wrong”, however unit still not running for more than a few hours before shutting off again. I then got second opinion. Immediately He found that the drain lines were clogged and the overflow trigger was shutting unit off since water was back-flowing into the lines. The unit then ran, but still 10 degrees higher than thermostat setting. The unit was serviced, lines cleaned out, freon recharged, new overflow switch and drip pan installed since the other drip pan was not under the overflow unit enough to contain a spill if one happened. Even after these repairs the unit ran, but 4-5 degrees above thermostat setting. A new attic fan was replaced to see if that would help keep area cooler. We were ultimately Instructed that the unit was CHEAP, and POORLY installed and they recommended a whole new unit. After spending over $13,000 ( 1st floor/2nd story) plus over $2,000 additional repairs who has more money to spend on the unit. Now in 2021 we now have ice on the outside unit and have to call our other trusted HVAC to come again to try and salvage this messed up unit. DONT TRUST THEM.

Installed my system in my new house 2017. Lowes installed my new washer without a hose clip. Water went down ducting. Called and spoke with Joe. Replaced my ducting free of charge right away.

We have an HVAC unit that was installed by Chesapeake Heating & Air just over 3 years ago, with a 10 year warranty on the unit and installation, yet they claim they don't work with that system any longer so can't honor the warranty. Definitely wouldn't recommend this company for such a high dollar investment.
