The tech, Anthony, arrived on time, was personable, masked, and put on booties before entering my unit. He listened to my concern with a loud vibrating noise I was hearing in my top floor unit. Then he investigated on the roof and discovered where the noise was coming from, not my compressor. It was a simple fix, though temporary, and was above and beyond the purpose of his service call. I have been with this company for ten years and have recommended them to a friend who used them as well.

I had a technician tell me my system needed to be replaced very soon after examining it (he red-tagged it). The rest of the time was spent measuring a new replacement system. I was charged 1.75 hours of service although none was ever done; it was a quote (I also checked my phone later and I was 30 minutes overcharged). I was fine paying the minimum to have the technician come out, but I should not be charged for an estimate that is normally free. The company defended their policy and after much back and forth lowered their service fee from about $450 to $200 or so. As part of the quote for a new system they said they would refund the $450 which is just a hook to get you to go with them. I went with another company and paid 60% the price and got a much better two stage unit which was installed within days. The lead time for Central was several weeks. Always get multiple quotes.

Thank you for the review Mr. Burke, we always appreciate feedback. I have reviewed the pictures our technician took of the existing installation and he was 100% correct to shut the furnace OFF. It was a dangerous situation as witnessed by the melted PVC flue and corroded heat exchanger. What is also clear in the pictures is that the price/quality of HVAC you desire as a property manager and the price/quality of HVAC we deliver are incompatible. As with most things in life, particularly HVAC, you can have low price OR high quality, you can’t have both. Most likely we’re not 40% higher, you bought and received 40% less value. I do agree we could have done a better job crediting a portion of tech time with less grief to you however, and for that I apologize. Good luck with your new installation.

Vlas performed the yearly maintenance and cleaning of four mini-splits in my home as per my yearly maintenance contract with Central Cooling & Heating. He arrived on time for our scheduled appointment and provided inspection, cleaning, maintenance and tune-ups for all four Mitsubishi mini-splits. He was very thorough, professional and answered my questions. I was very satisfied with the level of service he provided.
