Incredibly poor service. Driver apparently "Could not get the cap off" the tank and left. This is despite getting regular deliveries in the season from First Call without issue.. My wife was at home and they didn't even try to go to the door and explain the situation, nor did I get a call while they were on site. Mind you, this is before a weekend of very low temperatures. Then they wait til the end of the day when they are stopping deliveries to call and explain the situation. Unbelievable bad service. Now we'll be without oil, and they made no effort to try and make things right. They then had the audacity to tell me they could send a technician out to look at the cap. The soonest they could get a delivery re-scheduled was next Thursday Just stick with First Call, a company that knows what they're doing. They promised delivery on Monday, and even will try to make room sooner to get out here. UPATE: I was at work when I got their call super late in the day. Once I got home I tried opening the cap myself, by hand. I was able to get it open. What an unbelievably experience. Just unbelievable.

We care deeply for our customers and make every attempt to rectify the situation when something goes wrong. We’re sorry you had a negative experience. We’re working with our drivers to improve communication and protocol when access issues arise. Our staff did, however, offer to hand-deliver enough oil to get your family through the long holiday weekend when we learned of the situation. You declined that offer. Our Residential Supervisor then attempted to reach you as well and did not hear back. We’d love the opportunity to earn your business. Please call 503.224.8500 and ask for our Residential Services Supervisor if you’d like to discuss this further.

Poor communication, left many of my correspondence unanswered. Did not bother to call me to give me a heads up on what time they would arrive to fill my residential oil tank on the day, and of course showed up the one time I left to do errands that day. I signed up originally to do the 30/60/90 payments and they never implemented that service, charging me the full amount on the day of fill, and never fixed the billing even after I call and had a full discussion with a representative, who said she would take care of it. There website is terribly unhelpful and dated, and I have no idea what the size of my oil tank is because they don't give me any record of how much they filled during my last service. Next time I need oil, i will NOT be ordering from Carson.

Carson oil was a nightmare to deal with. Thomas in residential repair doesn’t return his voicemail. Both times I’ve called in for an issue he doesn’t return my call, it’s not like a day or two pasted before I called back in for help again. This time I was transferred to another person, they returned my call a couple hours later. It started with them coming out to do a repair, and their delayed ordering of the part until I called in looking for an updated. I was told that they needed to come back out and confirm the measurements taken by their service guy. This would have gone longer if I wasn’t proactively checking in on the repair. Then when the part came in they couldn’t get the system to start and said it just needed more oil in the tank. They told me that once I added oil it would work. They put notes in their system that didn’t match what was told to me. They went ahead on their own to disconnect the system, and not tell anyone. Now requiring payment to get them back out to reconnect the furnace.
Response from the owner
After investigation, we determined that we disconnected the furnace due to safety concerns while the home was unoccupied. It appears that we had installed a new burner for the furnace, but due to the furnace being out of fuel and the home for sale, we left the unit disconnected to prevent a fire hazard. It is also our understanding that you are the homeowner’s realtor, and you were informed of this at the time as well as our intention to return and start the unit up at no charge once the tank was filled. We reached out to you after you left this review to remind you of the timeline of events and by all accounts, you were appreciative of the reminder and satisfied with the outcome at the time as well as when we spoke again. Poor reviews, especially when they’re misunderstandings due to no negligence on our part, negatively impact our HVAC department’s reputation and public trust. Our team members are absolutely dedicated to providing quality service and observing safety in all that we do. Given the circumstances, we hope you’ll consider changing your review in light of this information.
