The answer to my review by this company is a bald face lie! There has never been cat urine on top of my dryer when a technician was here. Another lie from the technician. There was a litter box I had pulled out of the laundry room. My home does not have feces anywhere except in the litter box. I had just loss 2 cats to cancer and one had urinated in a couple of places. That was cleaned up. Also, another technician came to look at the dryer. I asked him if he had any complaints about my home. His answer was NO! In fact over the past 4 years several technicians have entered my home sent by American Home Shield and NO complaints about my home. No be honest Capital City Maintenance you were angry because I told American Home Shield how rude your technician was all 3 trips he made to my home and could they please send someone else to my home. Your technician was rude and showed no initiative to fix my dryer! Instead he treated me like I had no idea what I was talking about. I had notes and told him the exact times I was running the dryer and the clothes were still not drying. I had to request a new control board. I am quite sure your tech has been in less "clean" homes than mine. NO PERSON including any technicians or family or friends have ever complained about my home!! No the issue is your technician was incompetent. If he was competent he would not have needed help to install the control board and it would not have taken two techs over an hour to do that job. Your technician never even voiced he understood what I was explaining to him. This company was contacted through American Homeshield to come to my home to repair my dryer. Tech came out three times. First time he did go up into the attic and told me the vent from the attic floor to roof needed cleaning. I had that done and maybe 3/4 cup (at the most)of lint was removed. Dryer still not drying. Same tech out a second time. He really did not say much. I asked could it be the control board since dryer would not shut off and the time would read out 23 minutes and stay on 23 minutes for over 45 minutes. He ordered control panel, came out today to change it. Dryer still not working - still not drying clothes after three trips. I call American Home Shield reporting dryer still not working. Representative calls Capital City Maintenance to schedule a senior technician to come out to look at the dryer. Then I am told that Capital City Maintenance refuses to come back to my home. Their technician was never treated rude on any of the times he was at my home or when he called. They refuse to give a reason why. Their technician obviously has no idea what is wrong with my dryer. This is a company to be avoided.
Response from the owner
We went out to this home behind another company that told her the dryer vent line was clogged. The customer stated she had the vent line cleaned after the previous company advised her to clean it. She stated the dryer was taking several cycles to dry clothes (no mention of dryer cycle timing issues). When we arrived the first time, less than a month after the previous company, we were greeted with an overwhelming smell of cat urine and feces in the home. We found less than half of the vent line had been cleaned, and the other half was still TOTALLY clogged with lint and pet hair. We advised her to clean the rest of the vent line and let us know if she still had problems. She called several days later stating the dryer was drying great now. However, she stated the timing cycle was not showing correctly on the display. We reluctantly (due to the odor) returned to the home and checked the dryer again. We confirmed that the dryer was in fact drying now, but that the cycle timing was wrong. We ordered a control board, though not at her suggestion. When we returned today, we were once again greeted with the overwhelming odor of cat urine and feces. This time we were treated to cat urine on top of the dryer. We installed the control board and tested the dryer, everything worked fine. After our tech left her home, he told us just like twice before that he did not want to go back due to the conditions in the home. Several hours later, she called into her warranty company claiming the dryer was not working properly. We advised her warranty company we would not return to the home due to the conditions mentioned above. We further advised the warranty company that they should let any other repairmen know about the conditions in the home prior to sending anyone else out. She never called us to ask why we would not return. We would have had no problem returning to the home with a supervisor if the conditions in the home were tolerable. Our company has 23 reviews of which 21 are 5 stars. We would have liked to upload the pictures we have of her clogged vent line and dryer, but we are unable to do so on a reply. In conclusion, the dryer was in perfect working order when we left.

Thank goodness I had a Home Warranty policy when one of my 2 AC units stopped functioning in August! The service folks were timely in keeping the 2 appointments required, also very professional and pleasant in their work under challenging circumstances in a VERY hot attic. I would call them for future HVAC issues.

Derek identified issues we were having with our AC unit and worked until it was fixed. Parts were not available locally but that didn’t stop him from getting the job done. Very professional and friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend using capital City Maintenance
