  Our 7 year old refrigerator stopped working. I contacted Campbell Appliance on a Sunday requesting service. Monday morning a technician arrived and checked the refrigerator. The compressor was out of order. They replaced the compressor and it works fine now. Service was very professional, they communicated everything with us (no surprises), and technicians were cordial and helpful with explanations. I would highly recommend Campbell Appliance for any ones needs.

  A ranting edit to this review is pending. So far I am not removing all my "stars", but I have removed my "quality" evaluation of the service. As of 9pm last night my new compressor that was put in Tuesday has quit working. I will update this review again depending on how Campbell's responds to my problem. Waiting on a call back currently. Thomas was courteous and knowledgeable about our problem. Better yet, he had a replacement part IN HIS TRUCK so that our compressor could be replaced right away without waiting for parts to be shipped and another service call scheduled! They also gave the unit a thorough cleaning while they had the back off. Campbell's Appliance always provides great service!

  BUY A NEW APPLIANCE TO SAVE MONEY! Seriously, I wish someone gave me this advice before calling Campbell. They came and diagnosed a fan out in the fridge. They wanted about $750 just to replace a fan motor. I wouldn’t have agreed but he told me he could hear the compressor working and even if it went out later, they would put the 750 toward the compressor repair. I couldn’t imagine it costing much more than that, so I agreed. It took 3 weeks til they contacted me to schedule the fan repair. I was out of town and needed another day or two. They replaced the fan motor and said it should get cooler over time, but it never did. They came back and said the compressor was out and that it would probably be about $650 - $1000. When I asked about taking out the cost of the fan motor, he said they wouldn’t because the fan had nothing to do with the compressor. I said, “that may be, but the first tech convinced me to pay a ridiculous price for the fan motor, by promising to take that out of an eventual, though unlikely compressor replacement.” When I told him to go back and tell them I was unhappy about this, I was afraid that they’d inflate the cost of the repair. That’s exactly what they did. They called and told me the compressor repair would be $1,699. They “graciously” offered to take out what I’d paid for the fan, leaving me a $1,000 fee for the needed repair. Do you understand? I bought and paid for a working fridge. It stopped cooling. When Campbell told me they could fix it for $750, I had to choose whether to buy a new fridge or keep it and pay. A few weeks later, they gave me the same choice, only they already had my 750 and wanted another 1000! Go ahead, Campbell poster.. try to politely find a minor discrepancy to justify your actions. I’m telling the truth. I will not get in deeper with Campbell. I’m going to buy a new fridge, or call another company like I should have at first, even though I’ve lost $750. If you have any honor, you should come take this fan motor back and give me a refund. I told them my concern on the phone and they only offered to cancel the notifications. Well duh.. I don’t want a constant reminder that I got caught in a trap and lost 750 bucks with nothing to show for it :(

  Mr Van Ness, After reviewing this work order we show your condensing fan motor was faulty due to your condensing coils being completely stopped up. It states on your invoice the technician was to replace the fan motor and clean your coils. The coils being stopped up in return is what caused your compressor to burn up because it was not allowing it to breath and was overheating. It took 3 weeks to get your part because it was a special order part and was on a factory backorder which we have no control over. Im showing we had you scheduled 3/16, 3/17, 3/18 but you were not available for any of those appointments, which also resulted this repair to take so long. The fan motor and cleaning was completed on Sat 3/19. I show in our records you did not call back in until 3/23, 4 days later. The technician came out and stated your compressor was out. He did offer to take the original repair price off the cost of the compressor replacement. We tried reaching out several times to follow up and see if you were wanting to go through with the compressor change out. You told the office you were going to price new refrigerators and call us back to let us know. That was the last communication with you. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your service or repair please call the office as we would want any and all issues resolved.
