We had a roof leak. They came out quickly. Gave us an option of fixing the problem for $3500 or replacing the roof for 12,000. We decided to replace the entire roof. Two months later we experienced the same leak over our newly remodeled bar area. We called them many times and never received a call back. We called another roofing company to fix the problem for another 3 thousand dollars. They do not uphold the warranty. I never give reviews and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but I would never recommend this company to anyone. I wasted twelve thousand dollars with them. As a small business owner, I don’t believe in these reviews because they aren’t always fair but my experience with c roberts construction was not positive.

I'm sorry you had this experience with your roof. You had Ice damming from the way your addition was brought into the roof of your main house and your gutters. We explained to you why this had happened and this is not related to the quality of work or shingles. This review should not be directed to our company but to the element that happen within the snowbelt area of Cleveland and the surrounding areas. Please see the definition of Ice Damming below. Ice Dam — an accumulation of frozen water in the gutter system and at the roof edge that prevents subsequent drainage of melting snow from leaving the roof/gutter system. Ice dams are common in areas that receive heavy snow buildups. In most cases, ice dams begin inside the house when heated air leaks up into the unheated attic. This phenomenon creates warm areas on the roof, causing the snow on its exterior to thaw. The melting snow moves down the roof slope until it reaches the cold overhang, where it refreezes. The process continues, causing ice to build up along the eaves and form a dam. Eventually, this dam forces the water to back up under the shingles and sometimes into the ceiling or wall inside the home. Ice dams may cause structural framing members to decay, metal fasteners to corrode, and mold to form in the attic and the wall surfaces.

Called up C Roberts Construction and spoke with Mark. They examined our roof and made recommendations about a repair or replacement. We chose a replacement and very happy we did. The roof looks absolutely beautiful. Thank you!
