  Look you need to call some one who does a free estimate. We paid over 200 dollars and still no air conditioning. Feels like a waste of money they will charge you 59.00 just to come out. So call one of the repair men that give a free estimate so you don't end up throwing away money.

  I spoke with customer on the phone concerning her issue. BNG actually does give free estimates for replacement, and our service technicians always inform the customer of the cost of needed repairs and get approval from the customer before doing any repair. In this case, the husband did give the approval to the technician to add refrigerant, after the technician had completed his diagnostic check and found the refrigerant pressures to be low, even though the husband was advised that it might not be a fix if there were more problems not yet identified. When adding refrigerant in fact did not work, the technician discussed with this customer's husband the fact that doing a more detailed leak check would cost several hundred dollars more, and the unit would likely still not be able to be repaired. The technician actually reduced the charge for the refrigerant added by half as a courtesy. BNG also has a policy or applying a repair cost to the purchase of a new unit, but customer elected not to replace it at this time. We fully understand the customer's frustration at having no cooling, but with the unit not repairable and the customer not wishing to replace it, there is nothing more that BNG can do at this time.
