BGMG Heating and Air- Showed up within an hour of my call to them. I did not know what to expect but they were referred by a friend. They were friendly and professional. Brad told me that my 40+ year old furnace was done. He gave me an estimate which was much lower than I expected and had the new one installed within 24 hours of my call. Brad had to get the new furnace in Syracuse and rushed to get there and pick it up before a 4 PM closing time. It was installed on the next day, which was a Saturday. He also went to the trouble of making a few changes to my water heater at no charge, that were not up to current code. I really appreciated the honesty and concern shown to me. His charges were more than fair and were explained in detail. I highly recommend BGMG Heating. They are really great people !

Our furnace stopped working and Brad came to look at it (charged $180) and he was dishonest with us about a part needed for our furnace. He said it was obsolete and it would cost a lot of money to fix. He pushed for us to get a new furnace installed the next day. I found the part online for $70 and ordered it. He also said he would give us a discount on the new furnace for being a valued customer and he would knock off the cost of the last repair. The discount he offered is just the 10% deal he's already offering to everyone else this month. There is no special deal. We are going to have someone else install the part and if we need a new furnace, we will not go with Brad. I'm pretty disappointed because we liked his service prior to this experience. Once a business lies to us, we're done.

I apologize for the miscommunication about this issue. As for the part in question I reached out to my supply houses about the part and was told it was an obsolete/discontinued part. We also had the discussion that this furnace already had a costly repair in the past. Also that the furnace is in rough shape. I discussed with you the long term option about replacement. As for the $180.00 charge that is a diagnostic fee. In this industry there is a diagnostic fee from every company not just specific to our company. Now I understand that you acquired said part from amazon. As a professional ordering parts from sites like that is not something that we do. The parts are unreliable hence why I do not order parts from websites like that. We have made that mistake once and the part was inoperable. If it works then that is great but we have a standard operating procedure as to how we get parts. We do this for reliability and functionality. We are always honest and forthright with all of the work that we do. I am sorry that you guys feel this way about this interaction.
