I am a true support of vocational education but feel like they have dropped the ball on the adult class enrollment process. My daughter completed her Medical assisting course there and used it immediately after graduating high school. She was then interested in the Surg Tech course. She applied for the course but could not get the financial aid office to contact her back. This was during COVID so we wrote off the lack of communication off to that. Randomly during the summer of 2020 Ms. Woods rudely contacted me "the parent of now an adult" as why my daughter wasn't in testing??? I explained to her no one ever contacted us back and we had no idea if there was still a class or if she was accepted or a financial aide status. We tried calling, emailing and even drove there. She had nothing to say at that point a ended the call. My daughter then applied for the class the following summer......we heard nothing for months after more than several attempts to contact financial aide. Once again we get a random call from Ms. Woods asking where she was. My daughter once again explained she had no status of the class application or her financial aide and had not made accommodations to attend after no replies. She is a working individual; you cannot tell people to be in testing with a 24 hour notice.

I am sorry you have had a bad experience Ms. Cobb. Unfortunately, with the student being an adult we cannot discuss information with the parent unless the student signs a release. Please have your daughter call the school so we can understand what went wrong. We will then work on a countermeasure to ensure this doesn't happen again. Thank you.

Don’t bother wasting your money on this place, they take your money and refuse to supply proper instruction, personal protective equipment. No equality for females trying to enter the industry. Definitely not where you wanna waste your money.

I took Cisco Networking from Ben Franklin over 4 years ago, I use what I was taught there every day at work. They helped to prepare me for college and even more so they prepared me for my career.
