  I would give a zero if I could. I had Beck come out to evaluate my AC unit that had quit working. They diagnosed a complete replacement at an estimated cost of $8,100 for a two ton unit, single speed 16 seer. It is an elevated location for a three story stilt home on the coast that would have required a lift. Had another contractor come out to give a second opinion. He was able to fix the unit in about an hour. New thermostat and contact board. He said the unit looked surprisingly good for being on the coast. What a difference. Go figure.

  Was asked for a price to replace not to repair This 15 year old rusted out A/C unit on a platform 21 foot high that would require a crane and scaffolding.
