  I recently found myself with a furnace not operating properly. Living alone and being that it was January I panicked. I didn't know who to call so I googled furnace repair and your company came up. I sent an email to you late that night and to my surprise a woman from your company called me to ask about my problem the next morning. She very nicely explained I was not a current customer but she would see what she could do. Very soon after we spoke she called me back with an appointment for that afternoon. Again I was pleasantly surprised. The driver showed up at noon. Lenny was very professional and fixed my furnace perfectly in just a couple hours. He was a pleasure to talk to and made the experience a less stressful one. I highly recommend Lenny and your company to everyone I speak to. I found the cost of the labor a bit high but it was worth every penny. If I purchase a new furnace down the road I will think of you first.

  I’ve been calling and dealing with this company for a few months now to get oil and the lady who answers the phone is so freaking rude. I will not be using there service anymore. I’ve had other people tell me they have had the same experience at Baystate oil. Plus their prices are the highest. Done and done. I can’t stand the attitudes when people are in customer service, it’s awful. I was not referring to that time at all (the driver) All the prior times I’ve called the customer service lady always has a rude tone and annoyed tone. If I ask a question it’s almost like I should know the answer kind of attitude. So what you’re assuming I’m talking about (in your reply) I’m not because I understand how that works with the drivers. Thanks though.

  Jamie, I am sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with our customer service. We understand that you were low on oil, but our driver does need to stay on a route that is designed for him to get all of our orders completed in one day. He cannot complete calls in the order they are received or on demand of order placement. You ordered the oil on Wednesday and we delivered on Thursday. The office was not being rude, they just were providing you with the information about your delivery that you did not agree was a good answer. But we appreciate you taking the time to supply your review.

  Bay state oil is a good company. There prices are a bit more than almost every other place but they can usually deliver the same day or for sure the day after. I definitely recommend them. Update: For others new to oil. I was under the impression that you could not order less than a hundred gallons of oil, ok that's fine but apparently its if your oil tank doesn't take at least a hundred gallons on the delivery. So apparently I was charged $45 on the last two deliveries because my tank took under the hundred gallons. This is something I was not aware of. So this is for people new to oil just in case you are not made aware as I was not. Also the new updated charge for your tank not taking at least one hundred gallons is $75 so just a heads up. This is not a bashing review I'm just letting people know that might be unaware as I was. I will continue using Baystate oil but I just wish I was told this from the start so I would have saved the $90.
