Driving on 184 in Groton by Cycleworks just now the Bartol truck ran the red light and cut me off to get in front of me instead of waiting 10 seconds. Between this and the other review about the dumb technician, I know who to stay away from for HVAC work around here.

While Bartol was good enough to come out on an emergency call on very cold weekend for a heater that wasn't working, the technician wasn't able to get the heater working (after 1.5 hours of work) and only reported that the heater unit needed to be replaced due to an inability to source the needed parts. I then called another company who also made an emergency callout and that technician flipped on some sort of auxiliary switch and the heat came right back on (in less than an hour of time). This company was also able to source the parts and total repairs were less than 1/2 of what Bartol quoted. I called Bartol and asked to settle for 50% of the emergency callout bill, because frankly, their technician clearly wasn't qualified enough even to find the switch to turn the heat back on. However, Bartol refused to settle. While I appreciate their responsiveness to take the emergency call, their inability get the heater going in the short term and source the needed parts for the main repair indicates a lack of expertise. Their refusal to discount the bill indicates no interest in taking accountability for their technician's poor workmanship and capability.

Terrible... would never recommend them to my worst enemy, they came to service my AC and within an hour of them leaving, I had water leaking thru two floors of my house... I made 12 phone calls and 6 texts-- all recorded... and they never got back to me until 11 hours and walked right out.. then they sent me a bill for their "service" well 15,000 late in water damage the idiots are harassing wanting 143 for the service call... When I called them Frank went into a COMPLETE RAGE and said he could care less about us going to the better business bureau and writing poor reviews, he continued to say he will charge me interest in and could ruin my credit.. their lack of knowledge, poor sense of professionalism, and total disregard for their clients has them as a HORRIBLE HVAC company.... run the other way, and run fast, you might pay more elsewhere but it will be worth every penny!
