I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Assurance Heating and Air Conditioning! Our furnace was limping along during the recent cold snap, frigid temperatures. The small company we had been using was not able to get to us, we were concerned it would flat out quit over the weekend. We did make it through the weekend, still not on the list with the other company. I called Assurance. Ray took care of everything; he set up our appointments with the sales rep and the installation crew. Derek come out, assessed our needs, we discussed his recommendations and chose a new unit. Herman and Johnny came out to do the installation. Kim took care of some office matters for us. Everything moved along at a great pace ( did I mention frigid temperatures?) and was done in a very professional manner. We will be getting our ducts cleaned in the spring. When the furnace comes on quietly (old one was noisy) and warms our house in this Midwest winter I really do smile. We are quite pleased with our new furnace and think the whole gang did very well by us. We are looking forward to a long relationship with Harvey and his crew and recommend them if you need the services of a heating and cooling company.

Once again, Assurance went above and beyond my expectations. I am a Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker and needed a quote on installing new furnace and a/c for a property in Palatine. Ken came out within a few hours of my request, emailed my client and me a proposal by the end of the day. The proposal was very fair, and my client was impressed. I continue to have positive experiences with them and feel I must share!

It’s hard to get to get good customer service. I contacted Assurance to repair a heating system. Technician canceled original appointment (one day off work) and arrived next day on time. I explained situation. He spoke to me first about a different problem not involving the heater. He spent about an hour to install a small part. He explained that the part was placed incorrectly by another technician years ago. This he said results in me needing a part for $200.00. This day the service person had $$$$$$$ on his mind. He said he didn’t feel safe or right turning in the system without the new part. I declined further service and paid him for the quoted initial costs. I politely opened the door. It is sad to have this type of service in the winter. He turned the system off. I had to take off another day and have a different service repair the service safely for a nominal/lower fee.

Mr. Cannon, we deeply regret that your experience was not a good one with our company. We are very apologetic that you had to miss a day’s work due to us not being able to get a technician out to you the first time. This time of year, we are very busy and we try to get to everyone as quickly as possible. I do need, though, to bring a few details to light that you left out. Our technician found after installing the new thermocouple that you had a gas leak at the gas valve. This is a very dangerous situation and he informed you that he could not continue with the cleaning (what you had called for initially, in addition to replacing the thermocouple) nor could he let you operate the equipment as it is an explosion hazard and we as a company have a responsibility to not only protect our employees but our customers as well. The part that was leaking was a stripped-out gas valve connection where the pilot tube inserts. This requires that the gas valve be replaced. Our technician’s statement to you was that the previous company/person that removed the pilot tube had stripped out that part of the gas valve, hence why it needed to be replaced. We would really like to improve upon this situation so if you could please give us a call so that we can discuss it, we would be most grateful. Thank you.
