I was contacted by ASAP Maintenance to install a walk-in cooler and freezer for a business in Silverthorne, Colorado. They called me with a five day notice, in an obvious panic, to have the work done. Because of seemingly poor planning, the equipment was already in transit from the manufacturer, American Walk-In, and they had no one to complete the installation. I agreed to do the work, and even moved several projects around to accommodate them. The work was completed and the invoice was issued to them on November 24, 2015. Since that time, it has remained unpaid. I have made several attempts to contact the owner of ASAP Maintenance. Each time, I am referred to an administrative assistant who “regrets to inform me” that the owner is not in the office or unavailable for a phone call. In the few times I have been able to finally get the owner of the phone, he informs me he has “just been paid” by American Walk-In and then promises to pay the invoice to Glacier Refrigeration “by the end of the work week” and to “provide a confirmation email.” Each time, Friday has come and gone with no payment, no email, and no contact of any type. In an effort to get to the bottom of this issue, I spoke directly to the manufacturer, American Walk-In. They stated that the invoice to ASAP has already been paid. Equipped with this information, I made an attempt to contact ASAP on January 26, 2016. I was able to speak with the owner, who did confirm that American Walk-In had paid ASAP, but he was “having problems with the financing company.” He assured me he would contact me with additional information by close of business that day, and he did not. In short, ASAP Maintenance is now more than 60 days delinquent on an invoice for work rendered by Glacier Refrigeration. My numerous attempts to contact ASAP to rectify this situation have been fruitless; I have been repeatedly met with false assurances of follow-up communication and payment. As a fellow small business owner, I am extremely disappointed in the operation and management of this company, who cannot meet its debts and falsifies information about the status of its debts and finances to others. This poor management has a direct negative impact on the manufacturer, installer, and the end user. I was finally able to receive a payment directly through the manufacture. Which was incredibly helpful. I have still never heard anything back from ASAP with an explanation of their lack of payment.

We are having the same issue as the other subcontractor with this company. Devin Cox wants his work done and seems to be above the level, but as soon as the work is done, he has no interest in paying at all. We did a job for them years back without issue except it takes 45 days from when you finish to get paid, but that is beside the point. We finished our 3rd job. for them and they were ready to have us start a 5th job. On that 3rd job, who's business name will not appear here yet out of respect for them, it was discovered that after removing the rubber floor, there was a toxic layer of sludge, grease, and ground up food and rat/roach/foulness under the floor. Now we are not a hazardous waste company, and it was 2 am. No way they could open up the next day with the filth we found under there. So we went and purchased heavy duty cleaning supplies to take care of the mess. I will not post photos yet but very hard to think of eating there after seeing where they were making the food. We decided to do all the clean up work, and it prolonged our job by 2 nights. We informed Devin of the change order coming and he said to proceed. After we finished, he said that since the change was not signed, we would only be paid partial. What were we to do? Stop and go home? Let them deal with the filth and close the whole restaurant for the day? I had offered to do half in trade in good faith so at least my guys had a bonus for dealing with all that filth. Nope. ASAP said they did not want to lose this large client, so we had to eat the other 1/2 of our change order. So then they sent us the door for the next project. I told them we would not install the next project until we got resolution on the last one, and we wanted our 10k. They said we would not get paid until we put the new door in. We asked why one job had anything to do with the other. All our work was done correctly and the client very happy with it. They finally agreed to send 1/2 and then assured me they would immediately send the other 1/2 as soon as we installed the door. That was two weeks ago, and we cant even get them to return email, text or phone call. I have had issues with subs or even other GC's but I always call them back, even If i don't want to. We hope to have this issue resolved, but fear it will have to go to liens and court. The worst part is, the client is absolutely happy, ASAP is just trying to get something for free. Do not hire this company or work for them at all!!

ASAP Maintenance Inc.required my company to work 24 hours straight to get a job completed quickly and after I spent thousands of dollars on material and labor they refused to pay. We put a lean on their building and he told us he would just wait until the lean ran out. Do not do any work for this unethical company. Warning - They stalk small businesses to find someone new to use.
