Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with Amodio. I was hopeful they would stand behind their work and their word, but they did not. I paid $446 to have my furnace repaired and after a few weeks, I have no heat again. They won't come back out because they claim I owe $132. I was told by Vinny Sr. when he came to install the new part that they weren't going to charge me for the other service call that was only a few minutes. Not good customer service. I am happy to pay for a job that was done, which I did. To quote Vinny's son, "repairs don't last forever". I would expect a $446 furnace repair to last more than 3 weeks, or the repairman would come back to find out what the problem is. Update: Vinny Sr. told me when he was here to replace the part, after the last guy spent hours looking at the boiler clueless and then just left and said someone else would call me, that I would not be charged for the first visit. I paid for the work that was done. I am not sure what the point of mentioning fixing a fuse in July 2020 is, that is irrelevant to the current issue. And for the record, I did not call someone else first back in July 2020, I called Amodio & Sons because they are the company who installed the boiler. Why are they lying on their response to my review and mentioning irrelevant things? This is a very strange way to handle customer complaints. I expected better from this company that has been in business for years, as they point out.

To set the context of our relationship with this poor reviewer … Our first experience with Ms Pozucek was back in July of 2020. She explained that she contracted another company to repair her boiler, but when they couldn't resolve the issue we were contacted. The problem was resolved on the first visit (bad fuse) and all was well. We returned for a "no heat" call on Thursday, December 23rd to find the system off due to a loose wire on the control - we refastened the wire, returned the system to an operational state, and were on our way. We were contacted again 11 days later on January 3rd with another "no heat" call. Upon arrival the technician had difficulties in troubleshooting the problem, so we sent a senior technician (Vinnie Sr) later that same day to further troubleshoot the issue. Vinnie Sr identified the primary control in need of replacement, wired it for temporary use, and informed the reviewer that there would be no charge for the first visit of the day (not the loose wire issue that was resolved 11 days earlier), and no charge for his visit neither. We then returned the following day and replaced the defective primary control. All said and done the reviewer was charged $132 for the first visit, and 446 for the final visit (control cost $300, and one labor charge of $125). The reviewer feels that she should not pay for the first visit, where a definitive problem was found, and repaired - we found that to be unfair, and will be happy to return if/when the balance is cleared up. We have stood by our work for the past 58 years and will continue to do so for as long as the Good Lord allows =)

My family and I have been using Amodio & Sons for my oil delivery and furnace servicing for years. They've been consistently reliable, easy to work with, and beyond helpful in emergencies. They've always treated us like family. I highly recommend.

Great company: leadership, technicians, service staff, assistants. I've dealt with Mike primarily, but my maintenance guy deals with all their field staff. I've been in a pinch and leadership acted very compassionately, too. They always make sound recommendations and never pressure you into something you can't afford or want to postpone--but they're also not afraid of politely telling you if you're doing something stupid! It's always a delicate balance when you're dealing with HVAC guys, just like with mechanics-- are they just trying to sell you something, or is it a purchase you really need to make? I trust Amodio 100%. Maybe I get special treatment because they do all of my HVAC and fuel? Dunno, but I doubt it and I would strongly recommend them even to a private homeowner or even to a tenant looking for an oil fuel provider.
