So I called to ask how much they charge for a service call and all the gal could say was they charge $65 an hour. I wanted to clarify and see if the technician was only there for 15 minutes what that would cost and then she proceeded to tell me that actually her schedule was full and they don’t know when they can send someone out so I’m taking my business elsewhere.

I had another HVAC company perform a "tune-up" on a Friday. Was told I needed a new furnace and the service tech said he would have a salesperson follow up with me. Two days later, Sunday, my furnace stopped working. I was put in touch with American Mechanical and they came to my house Monday morning and resolved the problem---and I didn't have to buy a new furnace. My service technician from American Mechanical was Jesse and he is a true professional. Great job, timely service and good price. I strongly recommend this company.

I don't typically like leaving bad reviews but this is necessary. In August 2017 our AC was replaced by American Mechanical - that install went well and the AC worked for the last 6 weeks or so of summer. Fast forward to May 2018 and our brand new AC isn't working at all. I assumed it'd be a simple solution and under warranty, so I called American Mechanical and they were able to get a technician out quickly but our brand new Lennox AC had a "manufacturer defect" and had to be entirely replaced again. Super rare but American Mechanical was going to deal with it; first, they said they'd have to charge install because the standard warranty didn't cover labor...okay seems weird so I call Lennox, they confirm this because American Mechanical isn't one of their "preferred contractors"...fair enough. Second, after quoting me for the install and I agree, they come back and said I have to pay for the freon that was lost because of the defect, bam another $200. Again I call Lennox and they confirm this is true per the warranty. So were now at an estimate of $470+ for another new brand new ac. Seems like BS, huh? I call a few other places and they all state that American Mechanical should have had a labor warranty...so I follow up with American on this and they state "nope, no labor warranty AND we quoted you wrong and it's actually going to be $480." Yes only $10 higher but seriously? That was the last straw. I gave them 2 stars because their service was prompt and professional but their lack of willingness to stand by their labor is something I can't get past.
