When I moved to DE and was looking for an oil company for my new home I read reviews. Some of the bad reviews here (and on other companies) seem unwarranted and based on folks who run their tanks out of oil or don't pay their bills. I've been really pleased with the good communication and service of AES. I'm on automatic and let them monitor my oil use (definitely easier!) I went with AES because they're local, the owner seems involved and driver who delivers oil was super friendly. Price was pretty competitive given what's going on in the world. I referred to my new neighbors.

Shows up in a timely manner. Friendly driver. Fills both of my tanks. Shop and home. The one for the shop is not easy to access but they do it anyway. This is what a great company does. Goes above and beyond for their customers. Kudos to you!!

The women answering the phone didn't seem....suited for the job. And somehow, my fuel always goes down at a specific rate (I have regulated thermostats) yet in a matter of about 3 weeks, a quarter of the tank is down. I'm hoping it's not an issue with fuel quality. I've always used another company but they were unavailable temporarily so I used this one in the meantime. Not sure I'll be doing so in the future.
Response from the owner
Hello Amanda, I'm sorry if your phone call was less than suitable. We have a temp working who is still in training and learning the ropes. As for the fuel quality, I can assure you our fuel meets strict specifications and would not be the issue for a change in usage. I would recommend diagnosing the issue by comparing last years temperatures to this years, as the past three weeks have been much colder and would burn more fuel than usual, especially if you have a regulated thermostat. Or have your HVAC company check your furnace and/or boiler to make sure the loss in efficiency is not due to a dirty filter, dirty burner or failing parts. These are the most common reasons a system will burn more fuel than usual. Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback.
