I spent a cold couple of nights in my house. The actual temperature was 48° at the lowest. We called our warranty company and they sent a tech out from American Air & Heating. We were told we needed dampers and more insulation. The tech arrived and he and his son began working. Before they were done one of the techs fell off the ladder. Now, this is a new home so we did not install the ladder. The tech came down with a box in one hand and missed the last step. The ladder broke...so the tech was not able to complete the job. He stated we needed to remove the ladder and he would return. The net day I called and spoke to Guillermo. He said the tech was out and he would NOT send someone else to finish the job. Let me say again, it was cold INSIDE MY HOUSE. I am not an HVAC technician, nor do I claim to be, but if a customer is calling and is needing someone to help, why do you NOT send a technician? You say you do not send 2 different technicians out...but again, IT IS COLD. With 30 degree weather at night and 40 degree weather by day, have you no compassion?! Humanity?! The service should not he delayed. If your technicians are skilled, it should not matter who completes the work. After spenidnover $1000 dollars on dampers, we called to schedule the insulation. It has been 2 weeks and NO ONE has called me back. I have left messages and nothing! They seriously ghosted me. I do not recommend you call this company. They lack compassion and most of all customer service skills. Turns out the company did a terrible job when the put in the dampers. The did not reseal the ducts!!! WTH?!?!? That could be why they are not returning my calls. Please save your money and call someone else.

Unfortunately, our AC went out and our warranty company, American Home Shield, sent America Air to our home. The contractor was nice and professional. He diagnosed the issue and left. Two days later, we had not heard back about the status and called. They had just filed the claim and were waiting for a response from AHS. No sense of urgency and they would call us back. No call back. We called again. We were told a service manager would call us back. NO CALL BACK. We called again. We are now a week and a half without AC. I was told AHS was not approving $2400 in repairs and that we should talk to the warranty company. When I asked about what these repairs were, I was told a service manager would call us back. You guessed it...no call back. Spoke to the warranty company and they listed off the repair submission which seemed bloated. But sense we received NO CALL BACK from a service manager, we had no frame of reference. After reading the reviews here and on the BBB site (they have an F rating..btw). We decided to cut our losses and ask for a cash out from the warranty company and will choose our own AC company.

This is the worst company I have dealt with. The office is unprofessional and dishonest. I used this company through my warranty company American Home Shield. My heater stopped working in December. The tech diagnosed the problem within 5 min on Monday. He said there would be a $150 code upgrade fee in addition to the part would be covered by my warranty. Instead of calling into my warranty company to get approval. He said the office would call in the diagnoses and schedule the repair. The office was backed up with orders from the previous week and did not get back to me till Thursday. The office stated the code upgrade was $300 plus tax. I stated the tech had written a diagnosis and stated in writing the upgrade fee was $150. The office said it is $300 plus tax and could not give me an answer as to why it had doubled. I asked if $300 plus tax was the rate any company would charge for code upgrade. I was told that is what American Air charges. It was In the middle of winter I had to proceed with this company. I would tell anyone DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY they will overcharge you.
