      I missed my appointment , I must have wrote down the wrong day . The lady I spoke with was very very rude . I insisted I needed to reschedule an appointment as soon as possible . Very rudely said “well you have to pay the $30 again , because you don’t know how to give a 24 hour notice” I asked if there was any way to just reschedule , and she said no I had to wait a month before rescheduling my cat to get nurtured, and then HUNG UP ON ME !! I’m very disappointed in the answering staff , and will not be taking my cat there simply because of the rude woman on the phone ! I was hoping to get my cats surgery done as soon as possible. Hopefully some changes can be made including not charging $30 apt fee when they don’t even have reminder phone calls , and kinder answering staff.

      Hi Amber, I have spoken with this employee. We have done some retraining. But please understand if getting your cat neutered as soon as possible was important to you, keeping your appointment would have been a good first step. We charge a $30 deposit which a client only forfeits if they do not come for their appointment and do not give us any communication that they are not coming. When someone misses their appointment, that is a lost appointment for someone who probably would have kept it, as well as lost revenue for the clinic. Our receptionist didn't tell you that you had to wait a month to reschedule. That was simply our next available appointment and yes, we would charge another deposit as an encouragement to fulfill your responsibility of attending the appointment. As far as calling to remind clients of their appointment. We used to do that, but it is simply too time consuming. We field hundreds of phone calls per day and while looking to reduce the number of calls we had to return daily we decided to sent emails as reminders instead of a phone call. Did you check your email? All the information you needed to keep your appointment could be found their if you provided us a valid email address. I am sorry you had this experience, but I am afraid we can only be responsible for making the appointment for you, we can't do anything else to see that you get here at the time of the appointment. I was near the front when our desk staff took your call and she was explaining why we had to collect another deposit. We don't hang up on people, but we also do not have to take verbal abuse from customers. I hope this message helps you understand our process.       The staff was very nice and excellent service, they called twice to let us know what was going on with my Pugsley. If you want to take your dogs and cats this would be the place and very reasonable prices for spayed and neutered .they took very good care of my baby boy.

      My daughter brought my grandpup in for a neuter procedure. At the desk my daughter explained that all his records are paperless but showed them, on her phone, his shot records. The receptionist said she noted it in his records but handed my daughter a piece of paper with their contact info and asked her to email or text (with screenshot of records) because they needed a paper copy. No problem, before leaving the premises she emailed and texted them the proper documents. 2 hours later she gets a call from an exceptionally rude person saying they gave him a rabies shot because they didn't have his shot records, the woman even said she looked at the emails and my daughter didn't send the records. SO THEY GAVE HIM A VACCINATION WITHOUT PERMISSION!!!!!!!!!! Now they want her to pay for a shot he already had previously and they had absolutely NO CONSENT to do it.

      Dannyial, We are very clear when dropping off that a rabies vaccination or proof thereof is required. This is not our rule but the County of Stark's regulation. I looked again at our emails, and still do not see it. I am sorry this happened, but we must have the documents at check in to avoid this type of confusion. There is the option to upload that proof when you make your appointment. This could have been avoided if it had been uploaded as requested. The alternative is to raise prices by $15 and simply give each animal a rabies vaccination. We have been trying to avoid this as we want to keep our prices as low as possible. Again, we apologize for this happening, but feel it was out of our hands.
