Posted earlier about a bad install and new unit they installed. Since that post I have had to refill the coolant yet again that leaked out, replace the compressor, and replace the drip pan under the inside unit. Now, after having spent thousands more dollars in repairs for fixing this mess I have been told by an HVAC contractor that a part from the original install was installed backward and that has apparently according to him been the problem with the coolant leaking out each year. ANOTHER BAD INSTALL ISSUE FROM THE ORIGINAL INSTALL. Previously, I had numerous leaks of water from condensation that collected in the pan overflowing it and damaged my ceiling multiple times (and yes the drain was cleared multiple times each year as regular preventative maintenance). Turns out the problem there was that the drip pan below the inside unit either was never replaced or was replaced with one of a composite material that deteriorated due to the condensation that dropped into the pan. I had to have that replaced by another HVAC contractor with a metal one so my ceiling would no longer be damaged by the deteriorating pan which was clogging the drain. Who knows, maybe the other contractors were doing work they didn't have to but in my opinion if the unit was originally installed correctly I would not have had these issues. I never had any of these issues with my old unit that I didn't have to replace but did simply due to age. I see on my earlier review of the other problems I had with this new unit they posted a reply that they take pride in their work and that I should contact the owner. I did that multiple times when I initially had problems with the unit and he never returned any of my calls after all my attempts to discuss this with him. Why would I now contact the owner after buying a new unit from him that has cost me thousands more dollars in repairs to finally get all the install and bad compressor issues fixed? Posting a reply like that in my opinion is simply misleading.NEVER WILL I DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN.

NOT RECOMMENDED by me. I purchased and had them install two HVAC units. Within a year one developed a leak in one unit (according to them) and it needed coolant. Within less than 2 years same issue and then found that the duct connected directly to the installed unit partially came off. They charged me a lot to fix what in my opinion was a bad install since this should not have happened if the duct work was connected to the installed unit properly. The tech said that since the units vibrate this happens ... NO ... must think I am an idiot ... a lifetime of HVAC and it never happened before and another contractor I had look at it said it was a bad install. When I contacted them about fixing the coolant leak under warranty the owner never returned my call. After multiple calls still no call back. I had a long prior relationship with this company and I don't know what happened to them but I will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN. So after over thousands of dollars for the cost of new units they installed one leaks and has from shortly after they installed it and they have refused to call me to fix this under warranty. If I could give them zero stars I would.

I would have given a All Starr Air a black hole if it were possible. After 3 weeks and $2100 in damages later, we had them remove their unit and we brought in a local contractor to fix the damages and install a new heat pump and air handler. Everyone that works at All Starr Air worked on the installation in our home, including the owner, Jon Starr, and it was never done properly. The final straw was my discovery of insulated bubble wrap being used to divert water from the improperly installed air handler in our attic into the drip pan. This was week three. This is a very short version of the absolute mess and hassle using All Starr Air was for my wife and myself. I was done being a supervisor, dine calling about the same leaking air handler dripping water into our attic and causing water damage to the insulation, beams and drywall in two different rooms. I was tired of the faulty wiring job causing all of the lights in our house to flash off when the heat pump kicked in. I was done with the heat pump sounding like it was a grating metal against metal. I was tired of technicians arriving late, or not at all. I was tired of getting the sense that I was pestering them. And, did I mention I was tired of supervising the technicians, and pointing out the issues that they were overlooking or discrediting? The whole experience was enough to make one question buying a home in Brunswick, GA. The one credit I will give to All Starr Air is that Keith worked with me and there was no hassle in getting a check the damages and getting the unit removed and refunded. Again. Black hole.
