  I've been having issues with a bird in my air return for a few weeks and have called some local to me companies (I live in NC). Accidentally stumbled across AirMaxx through a google search and gave them a call. Despite not being able to come out to my home because I am in a different state, the technician was able to talk me through exactly how I got a bird in my system and what my next steps should be. They even gave me some pointers on how to assess whether or not the next HVAC company I call is equipped to help me. I am so incredibly grateful and impressed by the service I received from someone without them even coming to my home! I really wish they had a service branch near me!

  I called on 2/23/2022 after 9PM to get a quote and work on repairs to my furnace as it sounded like the ignitor was bad and would not complete a cycle to start pushing out heat. The gentleman that answered the called talk down to me in a condescending tone after i stated my concerns and told him i think it might be the ignitor. He asked if I have a volt meter (I do), but said no to see where this was going and he proceeded to talk to me about union pay for working late at night when I asked was a inspection free (it is but not at night $175 just to come out). I never worked for this company so how do i know what the policy is. I kept my cool cause i know life is not easy and i get calls all times of day and night about work but from employees and not customers whom I'm suppose to help and be most importantly kind and show empathy to given their situation which is why they call is to get help in a timely manner if possible given labor availability. I tell him let me discuss with the misses and I'll call back within 15 minutes or so. She told me to pay whatever and when I called back he blocked my number. After 5 attempts and 20 or so minutes later, I called back with my other phone and guess who picked up. Bottom line Is he costed his company and workers money while offering bad customer service. The other company I called knew what company I was talking about and even told me the name of this company as they get their complaints from customers and most importantly they get their business all because someone gave the wrong person a customer relations job who is clearly not qualified to do it.

  Our apologies for the confusion. Our records show that someone called at 9:34 pm.  The individual called to explained that he thought he had a bad ignitor and asked how much it would be to replace.  We asked if he had tested to see if the igniter was getting power.  He explained that the furnace kept going through its cycle without lighting so that is how he came to the conclusion.  I asked if he tested the igniter, to make certain it was the igniter, he said no.  I asked if he had a meter and with a long pause he said no again.  We try to walk customers through their problems over the phone because there are situations when we can get the furnace started over the phone with them for free.  We said that there is a fee to come out after hours.  He said "shoot", I thought it was free because it said 24 hours".  We said that government requires us to pay over time for employees that are sent out after hours, due to the over 40hours a week rule.  We said that tommorow morning it would be free.  He said that he already has another company scheduled in the morning.  We said that they can come out in the evening as well, and he said they also have an additional fee outside of their regular hours of operation.  It is at that time he said let me talk it over with the misses.  Regarding the blocking of a phone number, we truly have no idea how to do that with a land line.  We did receive a call at 10:00pm and the individual hung right up which was strange. We understand the concern and frustration when customers have no heat and go above and beyond to work with them.  Again if this was the call we received at 9:34pm and at 10:00pm we apologize for the confusion.  We certain we could have been able to help if given an opportunity to schedule an appointment.  I'm sure your 1st appointment before calling us, with the other company will be fine. Most of our competitors provide good service, we have nothing bad to write about others. We are a repair 1st company with no hard sell tactics for a new furnace when emotions are high. Again having no heat is frustrating and concerning for us as well.  We do appreciate you making 5 to 20 attempts to call back to schedule an appointment after 9:34pm even though you felt concerned about how you were treated on your initial call.  We only show the 9:34pm (2 minute 11 second conversation) and the 10:00pm on our call logs. As for the union pay that comment is impossible. We are sorry the phone was having issues and we were not able to schedule an appointment on your call at 10:00pm.

  Jaime and Dan are the best! Spent as much time as needed and searched until they found a solution. Fixed the problem Polite, courteous and pleasant while doing their work. A pleasure to deal with. I HIGHLY recommend.
