The heat exchangers of my furnace needed to be replaced. Scott informed me that the cracked exchangers were under warranty. I chose to have them replaced, and was told while I would be initially charged for them, that their cost would be refunded to me. Both the work estimate and the repair bill indicate this. I write this review over three months after the work was done. I have called Aire Serv of West Michigan three times, to inquire about this "apparent" refundable cost. On each occasion, I have been told that Scott would contact me about the issue; but I have never been contacted. Obviously, this $500 cost has yet to be refunded to me. Extremely disappointing customer service and business practice.

Recently have had dealings with Aire Serv Mid Michigan - I am not impressed and cannot recommend them. Had service and repair done on the furnace in mid-October. On November 18, had to pay for another 'diagnostic fee' because the furnace still wasn't working. After performing the diagnostic, the technician was unable to tell me why the furnace wasn't working. He was, however, able to tell me all of the things that could be replaced, but not able to say if any of these would correct the problem we are experiencing with the furnace. Now, I understand that the furnace is older, and probably does need some work done on it. However, I will not be using this company to do the repairs because I don't trust them to give me a fair price for the service. Example: The air filter needs to be replaced. This is a disposable 16x25x1 air filter that can be purchased for anywhere between $15 and $20, and can be easily replaced by the homeowner. The cost for Aire Serv to replace this filter was going to be $164.00! Really???? This furnace is in my elderly father's home, and he is no longer able to change the air filter on his own, like he has always done. I call this pricing 'opportunistic' and definitely 'taking advantage' of a situation. Note: Aire Serv recently purchased the heating and cooling business from Frost Heating. We were always very happy with the work and pricing we received from Frost. Sorry they are no longer available to work with.
