      October 12 I had noticed my furnace was not working very well. Since the previous homeowner had purchased a home warranty, I contacted them to file a claim. Air Comfort Solutions was within the network of said warranty company and an appointment was made for October 15. They were prompt in coming out to diagnose the issue and were on time. The technician spent two hours searching for the reason my furnace no longer was functioning properly. After checking the exhaust extensively he deemed the problem to be a cracked heat exchanger. He recommended that a whole new furnace be installed in the report to the warranty company. Unfortunately, when I called on October 22, since I hadn’t heard back from anyone, I was told a new furnace would take 2-3 weeks to be delivered. So, I opted to replace the part. Skipping over the run around, delays, and mistakes by the warranty company, by the time Air Comfort Solutions received the part (2.5 weeks after initial claim) they were booked three weeks out, which I could not wait for. To their credit, the company’s receptionist was very helpful and understanding during this process. Anyway, the warranty company found another contractor within their network willing to pick up the part and install it. A MONTH after filing the claim the new contractor (November 13) came with the part in hand to install it! I was finally going to have heat!! The second contractor stated that there were NO CLASSIC SIGNS OF A CRACKED HEAT EXCHANGER. A *fly* had been lodged in the pressure switch- which he showed me. He purchased a new switch, installed it, and that was the end of that. Tl;dr- Due to the botched diagnosis I was needlessly without heat and battled an inept warranty company for a month. Make sure to get a second opinion. If I could give zero stars, I would.

      Technician Frank was professional, knowledgeable and friendly and he explained everything in detail. A second tech came out and he didn’t seem to want to bother troubleshooting since the unit was old. I talked with Jen in the office a couple times and each time she displayed unprofessionalism through her tone and huffing and puffing when I asked questions or requested additional information. I was relieved when my warranty company informed me they were contacting a different contractor to handle my claim.

      Im torn as to how to rate this company because I had a mixed experience. I would give Air Comfort Solutions a 5 star review for actual service, but only 1 star for customer service. As a result I would not recommend this company based on my experience. I had some scheduling difficulties with them from the get-go due the fact that it was mid summer and presumably they were slammed with business (not their fault). The only time they were available was inconvenient for myself but I was unwilling to go another week without AC in 90 degree weather so I made the necessary arrangements. On the day of the appt the technitian was nowhere to be found. And only contacted me 2 hours after the end of the initial 4 hour window by phone to say would be there in another 30 minutes. I had to reschedule because I went on with my daily obligations and had no indication that the appt would indeed happen. The fact that this happened wasn’t necessarily what was upsetting, it was more so the reaction and attitude of their customer service rep Jen that I had the misfortune of talking to multiple times on the phone. Each encounter was filled with rudeness and a tone that would imply that her having to answer a call from a customer was a grave inconvenience to her. On one occasion she answered the phone with a loud sigh and muttering “oh my god what?” Under her breath before greeting me. She was unapologetic for their lapse in scheduling and made no efforts to amend the issue other than offering insulting sarcasm. She may be stressed or they are severely understaffed in customer service but that is no excuse for the impression she leaves. I would suggest that she takes a vacation or finds a new job because she is obviously unhappy... The technician once arrived was very friendly and professional. He finished his work promptly and was more than happy to explain what he found and fixed with my air conditioner. I’ve had zero issues with my AC since his visit and am confident that he solved the issue. Even though the quality of work was satisfactory the lack of customer service would leave me to send other potential customers elsewhere
