  I recently bought a home with a zone damper AC system. The zone upstairs started running intermittently and my home warranty company, that came with the house, sent Accent out to look at it. The guy they sent ended up telling me that a damper mechanism needed to be replaced and the company quoted me $582 plus the $75 service call I had already paid them. The home warranty company wasn't going to cover it because it was 'ductwork'...UGH! I got suspicious because the tech did a a half... job anyway, didn't even check the outside unit. So I ended up calling Five Star for a second opinion. Their tech did a full diagnostic on the system, top to bottom. Turns out it was a loose wire and the unit has been running like a charm ever since. Would not recommend Accent at all!

  The worst experience my husband and I have had! 11 months ago ACCENT came to fix our AC that went out during the hottest weeks of our summer. They were recommended through a home warranty company. Each time they came out the issue was "fixed". First and second visits the guys said they were going outside to let the the unit run about 20 minutes to make sure it was working... NOT! they got on their van and left! And it was not working! We would call and they would conveniently not answer and call back over 30 minutes later unable to return to our non working AC. It took 2 weeks and 4 visits. My husband kept asking for the senior technician to come out... we finally got that on visit 3 and of course they had to order the part! Be back in 4-5 business days. We could not stay in our home for 2 weeks it was so hot! We were offered nothing to cool our home not even something temporary.! On visit 4 the AC Seemed to run ok. Present day the same part they put in failed. Even though it was under warranty they wanted to try to charge us a bunch of fees that we paid the first time they fixed the SAME part! We spent one week literally on breaks from work and our evening trying to get them to fix this issue, mind you the same person that was there 11 months ago came out and diagnosed the issue telling us that part should last 5-10 years not just 11 months. The company didn't want to fix the warrantied part with out trying to get 700 dollars in fees on something they just put in 11 months ago! Mind you all of this took a week and they had to order the part so it would be 4 business days. Taking us through a weekend made it 6 days. Yup,another year waiting 2 weeks! We were told since accent put the warrantied part in last year they had to this time also...or we would have never called them. After this disaster we took other measures to make sure ACCENT did not "fix" our AC so we didn't have to deal with this 11 months from now again. They do not stand behind their work! They don't care about families. They certainly can not fix AC units. Terrible customer service. Terrible all around experience.

  I was very apprehensive about this company being assigned to assist with my air conditioning issues by my home warranty company after looking at the reviews on here. Being a contractor myself, I always want the best of the best working on my home. My wife said the person that came was very nice & professional. He changed out the capacitor that was not working & was on his way. Pleased to write this positive review so people won't be as skeptical about this company as I was because the 2 reviews on Google weren't making me feel so cozy.
