TLDR - A1 is amazing and was helpful through a first-time home buyer's first encounter with a furnace despite false claims by another company towards A1 causing me to initially throw mud on his face. He never once got mad, defensive, or mean. He even worked with me to get a price almost HALF of what the other company had given me even after he found out that there was no blame on him. We were in constant communication after the first call which helped me out because I was so flustered and confused on what to do since I'm was getting two different stories. ~Long version~ We were having a noise come from our furnace and so we called a random furnace company (not A1) to begin with. I wasn't home but my girlfriend was. The random technician calls me and says that there is an issue with my inducer motor. He said that whoever was the previous company that was working on it had broke something and there was now a big safety concern. He said he could fix for $700. I knew that A1 had worked on it before so I call up PISSED. I'm mad. I'm trying not to raise my voice. The guy that answers says there is no way they broke something and just left it. Of course I tell him he's lying. He tries to talk me through what is going on and describe the issue to him. I thought it was odd because most companies would say "go away I don't care". I'm talking to him about it and I get curious on some questions he asks. I go home to look at this stuff myself and I see nothing wrong with this motor. Nothing loose, nothing rattling, nothing wrong. A1 continues to work with me to get better pricing than $700 (it was almost half), talking me through the issue, and even finding the part for me locally because random company had to special order it that would take 5 days to come in if I still even wanted to replace the part. Well I was caught between a rock and a hard place. Time for a third party that knows nothing of the situation. I call up another company and have them look at it. All this guy says after about 15 minute of checking out the motor thoroughly is that the bearing is making a bit of noise and may go out in a a couple YEARS. I ask about safety concerns of using this motor. He tells me that there is none. Save yourself a lot of anger problems, tons of money, and even gain a feeling of safety after dealing with A1. I still can't believe they worked with me so hard after I was THAT mad and even after they knew nothing was their fault.. A1 was still trying to help me out.
