This company is a preferred vendor from AHS. My AC unit was fried due to an electrical issue that was repaired and AHS provided an order to A/C Mechanix. AC calls me to schedule an appointment, more than kind during the call. A rep was scheduled to arrive between 3 and 6 PM the next day. I requested the latest appointment as I would be at work and had to drive home and an hour advance call so that I can leave work and meet them. This did not happen. I received a text at 2:40 pm stating that my tech in on the way. I called the number and asked if they can delay the time and they were accommodating. When I was within 5 minutes from home I call the tech back and let him know that I am almost there. We both pull up at the same time. I explain the issue and he goes around a few places to look at more items. He went to the breaker box and switched various breakers off and on. That's fine. He goes to the unit outside and also in the attic. His assessment is that the mother-board is fried and he has to order a replacement part. Prior to the appointment my husband asked if they carry parts for replacement to which we were told yes because they want to fix the issue sooner rather than later. Well come to find out, our AC unit needs a part that is special order and they do not carry. In addition to the mother-board being out we realize that there is a duct that fell from the rafters and is now split open. The tech took pics of this and stated that he will have to see if this is covered as it isn't always covered. I said that I reviewed the contract and that ducts are covered. We had a small discussion about this and again, no issues. He did state that he would not be able to give me an estimated time as to when the replacement part will be in and he could not provide a time frame as to when he can come back out for repairs after the part arrives as he is not involved with scheduling. He then leaves. A day goes by and no update from them. I call and leave two messages two days after the tech has come out asking for an update. I see that I have a missed call from AHS with an update. I call AHS and am notified that the mother-board is covered under our plan but the duct will not be as the tech states that it was pulled by someone from the rafters. I am dumb founded. No one has accessed the attic to pull it down and how can he access that it was pulled? The line holding up the duct work is metal but it is old, rusted metal. The house was built in the 70's and I can guarantee that the same metal rod that was used originally is the one that was holding it up. I requested a second opinion and am currently waiting that from another company. But to have a whole conversation about the duct with me and not mention that you believe that it was pulled down and then to inaccurately provide said assessment has me not wanting to use this tech and perhaps company, at all. Then I was provided a quote of $600 to repair the duct work. Ummm, no. Sorry. Not doing that. Especially since I KNOW that no one pulled it down and it is the result of a rusted and corroded metal line.

We built a home with Precision homes and they used these people. The thermostat does not work correctly it is about 10 degrees off. I have left voicemails, texts and it has been over a week and I have had ZERO response from these people.
