Let me start off by saying this company did a wonderful job taking care of my a/c system. The technician was very friendly and helpful. He communicated with me through the whole process. Always able to get in touch with them if I need them!!! The prices are so affordable. I’m truly grateful they were able to fix the issue I was having with my system. I would highly recommend this company to everyone.

A-1 Heating and air conditioning is a lifesaver! I recently hired them after using two previous companies who weren’t able to fix my system. The technician was very knowledgeable and was able to find the root of the problem. Very affordable and professional. I highly recommend using this company for affordability and excellent work.

FRAUD ALERT: A-1 tried to run a scam on my home warranty company and me. They were identified by my home warranty company as service provider to troubleshoot non-working upstairs a/c. Mike from A-1 attempted to charge me for freeon replacement of the unit, stating Old Home Republic refused to cover the charge (about $700-800). As this is a covered service that has been done before, I called OHR to clarify, and headed home (was at work during initial exchange). Upon arriving home, learned the following: 1. Mike from A-1 had NOT BEEN TO MY house, much less checked the hvac unit, prior to calling me (about 7-8 calls made in 3 minute period, plus texts) to request authorization/payment for work. He was still not there when I got home. 2. Mike from A-1 never contacted OHR to request authorization on above repair. Mike lied when he said it wasn’t covered by them (it is). He also lied about diagnosing the issue as he hadn’t even seen the unit or tested it. Amazingly enough, Mike did show-up about an hour after his scheduled time. I asked him to get off my property and filed a complaint with the warranty company. Will look into the same with BBB. Not recommended. Not a bit.

This negative review is completely false. We are a fair and reasonable company and always try to do the best of our ability to service our customer’s hvac in the triangle for years. It was approximately 5:30 Pm when the Tech took this call, the Tech could have been home with his family having dinner, helping his kids with their homework or at a soccer practice game when he travelled approximately 1:00 hour one way from base and out of Cell coverage to get the AC up and running, the Job was dispatched by the Warr Co as a Check and Advise, meaning no repair without prior authorization, the Tech having Cell Phone Signal issues called the Customer and was told another Co had been out and that the System had a Freon Leak and they declined to add Freon to the System, the Tech then called the Warr Co and was advised they would not cover adding Freon to the System if their was a leak, the Customer was then notified and at which time the Customers said the house was very hot and would pay for the Freon if the Warr Co did not cover it no matter the cost, the Customer was told If the system used the older discontinued Freon (R22), the cost would be $199 (parts and labor) for the first pound and $99 for each additional pound, NOT $700-$800, the Customer then said that was ok and would meet the Tech at the house, the Tech arrived at the job site, loaded his tools and Gauges and was walking towards the Customer’s front Porch when without any warning or advance notice the Customer came out of the house Yelling and Shouting at the top of her voice for the Tech to get off her property, the Tech quickly without saying a word turned and went back to his work truck loaded his tools and left the property, this was very disrespectful and humiliating to the Tech and in all the years of serving our triangle Customers none of our Techs were ever disrespected in this manner, we always try to be respectful and courteous to all our Customers. The Warr Co payed the Deductible for coming out as the Customer did not pay it. Thanks
