      I own an investment property and the furnace was not kicking on in really cold weather and my tenants were waking up to a 55 degree house. I have an Old Republic Home Warranty and called them for a service call and they sent out A-1 Complete Heating. The contractor came at the end of the day and said the filter needed to be changed, which got changed out. The next day the furnace was still not consistently kicking on and I called A1 and spoke with a tech rep who said that the extreme cold temps were causing the furnace to run longer and a safety mechanism was kicking it off and to turn the thermostat off for 5 minutes and back on to kick it on and there was nothing wrong with the furnace. This started on 1/20th and I called A1 again on 2/2nd to discuss the ongoing problem and left a voicemail and they never returned my call. Moving forward, 2/3rd at 8am I called Old Republic Home Warranty and asked them to send out a different contractor and they sent out Elite Heat and Air in KC, KS. Rocky with Elite Heat and Air called me in less than an hour and I explained what the furnace was doing and he told me over the phone what he thought it was. He was at the house at 10:30am and literally had the furnace repaired in 15 minutes and the furnace is heating like a charm and had the house up to temp in about an hour. A1 Elite did not listen to me nor return my calls when we were still having problems so I would not recommend them, the customer service was disappointing and frustrating and my poor tenants were freezing.

      This company installed our HVAC unit, but it was installed before we moved in so we never dealt with them before. My husband called yesterday to have them come out and service our furnace because it had been acting up, and a tech was supposed to be here between 3-6. No one ever showed up and we never got a call as to why not. At 6:03 I called the office and they were closed, so I left a message asking why and requested a return call. They opened at 8, according to Google, and I did not get a call so I called them at 9am when I was on a break at work. I spoke with a lady who apologized to me, stated that she saw there was two missed calls from us, and she would find out why a technician never showed up or called us. She told me she would call me back to let me know and get rescheduled. We never heard back and we needed to get our furnace looked at. So I called another company at 10:15, who was out here by 11:15, and they took good care of us. My husband left for work at 12:30pm and received a text message from A-1 at 12:32pm stating that a technician was on his way to our house. There was no one available to accommodate a technician at our house then as I was working and my husband had left for work. If they are a small business is super busy i get it. But that is no excuse for not contacting your customers back. This company has poor customer service and I would not recommend them to anyone.

      A1 came out to replace the fan on the outside unit along with the capacitor and it was all wired wrong. This was all set up through my home warranty. The AC stopped and all of this was found by a different service provider that came out for the service request with my warranty company. A1 followed up the next day stating their technician did in fact wire things wrong and poorly. I was also then told that person no longer works there and they would work with the current service provider to make things right and pay part of the out of coverage costs. NONE of this happened and we were totally lied to. Any company that won't own up and cover their mistakes is no company I would ever recommend to anyone. If I could give this negative stars I would.
