  I call Gerald at A-1 every time I have issues with appliances, furnace, or the AC in my house. Even have had him out to do tune ups as well. He's always able to come out right away, gives helpful tips on what to do in the mean time, and is amazingly fair and honest with all the repair work he has to do. He's given me great advice over the past 3 years that we've been using him, and he's earned my trust for any needs I have. Thanks!

  I purchased a washer and dryer on April 15th with a delivery that same week. The staffed seemed friendly when they were making a sale but after they dropped off a washer that didn’t work I had very little success getting ahold of anyone. Calling their service department during office hours would maybe get you a response a day or two later. They picked up the washer to “repair” it and found a poker chip in the tubing preventing the machine from running. However, they couldn’t deliver the washer back to me for another week. Being I couldn’t wait three weeks, i rented a Uhaul for an extra $100 and drove out to Anoka to pick it up. I got the machine home and it still doesn’t work! They clearly don’t test their machines. I called and asked for a manger and they transferred me to an answering machine. I have yet to receive a call 5 days later. Now over a month later, I am stuck without a working washer and have spent $1,000 including the unplanned uhaul rental. On nothing. Not worth the risk. Buy elsewhere

  Our furnace was not blowing out hot air (the blower worked). I tried replacing the filter, made sure there were no blocks in the PVC pipe leading out of the house, but it still would not work. I left voicemails for about a dozen local companies on Saturday and A1 was one of only two people to call me back on Monday morning. The person I spoke to said they would be able to come out between 10 and Noon (it was about 9am when I fielded the call). The person who came out replaced the pressure switch, fixed a rattle in the back side of the furnace, and even put two more clips on the front door of the furnace so it would properly close again. Overall I was extremely satisfied with the promptness, level of information provided, and the efficiency of the problem being resolved. I know that if I ever need any appliances fixed or looked at, A-1 Appliance will be the company I rely on from now on. Thank you for your service, it greatly exceeded my highest expectations.
