My heating system stopped working last night in the midst of the winter storm. I called early this morning and was so grateful for an appointment today. Robby was my tech and he was wonderful. He explained everything and was careful making sure I understood each option and his actions. I was so impressed I also signed up for the maintenance contract as well. Thank you for a wonderful service experience in the middle of a storm! Very satisfied NEW customer.

Filed a BBB complaint..1st Choice Air installed a new HVAC system in my home with a service agreement that is still active and has been serviced every six months. Today Riley came out to perform the six month inspection and after telling him that the unit overflowed water in the attic his response was I needed more blow in insulation. I asked him to check the safety switch because it should have never leaked water in the attic in the first place. He then said the safety switch WAS bad and that it needed to be replaced. He further explained besides insulation I needed ultraviolet light installed to kill the mold caused by the water. I asked to speak to his manager Ralph who called me and agreed with his tech. I asked him why I was not told about the mold problem on my last visit 6 months ago? In my opinion this problem was caused by a defective safety switch which did not stop the system from running but instead waster leakage in my attic and completely soaking the air handler in condensation causing the mold issue they say I have now. I have photos of there last repair where they were suppose to replace a duct and instead cut the duct in half and then tried to tape ONLY the two pieces together. I took photos of this repair where that duct separated and was blowing directly into my attic. Fortunately I checked there work before I wasted money on outrageous electric bills trying to cool my attic. Response from 1st Choice....We are sorry that that is our opinion, but that's what it is your opinion Mr. Black and not the actual facts. 1st Choice Air Solutions has fulfilled it's end of the Agreement for you. Per the contract the maintenance were performed. We have dates that we were out to perform the six maintenance checks for you. After the maintenance was completed someone from our office then called to Happy Check and there was not an issue. We have the dates stamped for each time we were out to perform the maintenance. We are sorry there was a faulty part and that you had issues, but as a homeowner it is your responsibility to call a professional company when there is an issue and get it corrected. It was brought to our attention you had purchased and made repairs yourself after not going with our recommendations. Our warranties are void once a homeowner or any other contractor touches our work. So, your warranty had been voided. You are no longer our customer and we do not owe you money to do maintenance on your HVAC system. We apologize that you did not do any of our suggested repairs and that you no longer want to do business with our company. We have removed you from our customer list and have cancelled your warranty. In addition, we will provide everything to the BBB from our dispatching software with the recorded conversations and notes related to this matter.

Your service Agreement has been fulfilled, we have provided the 6 visits and you did not renew. Thank you for posting our response, because like we said your opinion is your opinion. No other HVAC Companies will warranty parts after a Homeowner attempts to DIY rather than allowing the company to make recommendations and then request none of them be completed. We have fulfilled our 3 years of maintenance, so we do not owe you anything. As we stated, please find another contractor as you are fired as a customer. Do not attempt to fix items yourself, but rather let the company that installed your unit do it, so the above does not happen to you. First of all this company leads the way in communication and follow up reminders. Very impressive on the front end before anyone showed up. We are signed up in the winner's circle maintenance plan so this was our first 6 month check up. Patrick came out and I was able to walk him through our previous work orders as this new to us system in a house we recently bought and inherited had some issues last year. He checked everything and addressed all of the previous concerns. He explained everything throughly, gave his professional recommendation and gave on the spot pricing. He did a great job and answered all of my questions. Manny has always been a great resource and help getting our previous systems repaired and back up to running condition. Patrick did a great job today and I'm looking forward to the next 6 month check up. 1st choice air has a great group of people and it shows from the top down. 10/10 will continue to be a customer.
